High standard, very recent and a rare quiet place (east coast)

Lovely place, very clean and smiling/helpful staff. No early morning wake up, quiet environment.
It is a secluded resort on the east coast, worth the ride.
They take care of your arrival and fetch you at the ferry jetty. Same good arrangements for departure.
Prices locally are on the high side, meant for Singaporean tourists, but accomodations are quite cheap these days.
All is very good except WiFi's internet. Although the signal remains strong, internet connection is often dropped for a short time before being back on.
Special note for room service, the food is prepared and delivered like in (or even better than) a 5* hotel and with goodies.

Relax


We were almost alone, we had the beach, the swimming pool, all the hamacs to ourselves. We stayed for two nights and we really enjoyed the place, the friendliness of the staff, the food and not to forget the Spa.
The staff was attentive, especially Lenni at the breakfast buffet!

A very nice stay

We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights after being in Singapore, our holiday started on the wrong foot, as our cruise got cancelled. We then booked a stay at The Residence to start our own itinerary.

2 hour by ferry, then approx. 50 minutes by car.
The Residence provided free transport to and from the ferry terminal located on the other side of the island!

The villas are great, we had the opportunity to try both the upper sea view suite and the estate villas with a private pool. The last one was a compilmentary upgrade as we extended our stay with 1 night!

Staff is amazing, very friendly and always eager to help out with everything.
The service is just top notch.

Food is resort-priced, as expected - Quality is very good, that is applicable to both of the resorts restaurants.

Some of the villas are a bit remotely located, no problem as everyone are provided with bicycles.

We are very pleased with our stay at The Residence! Thank you very much

Tropical luxury!

Went here for total relaxation for 4 nights. Amazing atmosphere and luxury feeling. The staff provide a world-class service like most good Indonesian hotels. They make you feel special in ways western hotel services could only dream of achieving. The hotel is far from city or activities, but if the aim is tropical luxury and relaxation this hotel will make you never want to leave. Food is great also!!

Idyllic

We have just returned from a short stay at The Residence , Bintan. The setting, accommodation and service were excellent. The food was very enjoyable and plentiful. The people we met during our stay are a credit to the hotel, nothing was too much trouble and whatever we asked for was delivered graciously. I would not hesitate to stay here again.
