Stayed at the Stoke by Nayand B&B spa for a night to celebrate our anniversary.
We made good uses of the gym and spa facilities.
Gym was a little small but had high quality equipment and everything you would need for a full workout.
The free towels were a nice touch.
However Chloe couldn't have a locker as they were all taken so I had to lock her belongings in the male changing room.
After using the gym we went to use the swimming pool, sauna and Jacuzzi.
It was very busy when we got in there, and we couldn't rent any dressing growns & flip flops as they were all taken, and I feel like we were very lucky to get a lounger.

Pool, sauna and Jacuzzi were all very nice and the changing room facilities were all good.

Our room was very spacious and had everything you would expect including kettle, hairdryer and towels.

After using the gym and spa we went to get food from the bar lounge.
This is where it all went horribly wrong.

We ordered two burgers with fries which were around £9 each, and waited for our food. After waiting an hour and 10 mins, a young waiter recognised we still had no food, so we were given complimentary drinks and told our order would be out shortly.
We continued to wait another 20 mins, and FINALLY our food arrived.
    This was very disappointing.

The burger buns were rock solid, and the whole meal looked like it had been forgotten about, sat under a heat lamp for 45 minutes before being served. The chips were stale, the coleslaw didn't look like coleslaw and the whole meal was shocking. We were so hungry but couldn't justify eating this poor standard of food after waiting so long.

We sent the food back and complained at the bar asking for a full refund. Fortunately the manager kindly obliged and offered us another meal free of charge (which we did not take as we couldn't sit any longer). We went back to our hotel room feeling deflated and very hungry.

The next morning we were feeling hopeful for breakfast. It was delicious. An all-you-can eat service of full english, cereal, fruit, danishes, tea, coffee and juices. We couldn't fault it.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful, however we were very let down with our evening food. I feel we were very unlucky as other people within the bar lounge were eating food that looked delicious.

We would stay here again even after our mishap. It was a very nice hotel.

Me and my partner stayed here on the 27th January for my birthday . We arrived around 2pm hoping to use the spa facilities once we had checked it .
We arrived at the hotel checked in to our room and then went down to see where the spa was . The lady on the spa reception said it was very busy as the had people on spa days but it should be quiet a little later on . So we went back to our room and chilled out .

We then went back to the spa at about 5 pm again she said it was still busy but the spa would be open untill 8pm. Our dinner was booked at 6.45 .so the only way we could use the spa was to eat our dinner so quick and then go to the spa. ....We got 20 minutes use of the spa by the time we had got changed.! For me this was a treat for my birthday.. we booked this hotel because of the spa . It's a very rare occasion we get to go out since the birth of our son and after all the money we had spent having only 20 mins in the spa is very unfair .

    Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay with us here at SbN.

I'm sorry to hear that you were unable to make full use of our poolside facilities because it was too busy. We are particularly busy with spa days and breaks on the weekends around this time of year and unfortunately we have to adhere to health and safety standards regarding how many people are using the facilities, as well as ensuring it is still enjoyable and comfortable for all of our guests.

I'm so sorry this spoiled your visit and hope it doesn't put you off returning and making full use of our facilities during a quieter period.

    Kind regards,
    SbN

We stayed for 3 nights at this hotel.
We used the spa facilities every day which were excellent. The pool area is spacious with plenty of of sun beds to relax on.
The hotel has family swimming between 4pm and 6pm, so don’t be surprised to see a number of children in the pool between these times.
The grounds are beautiful if the weather allows try the walks.
The food is really good, and the bar food is very reasonably priced and a very high quality, especially the ribs..
The room we had was very clean and well kept. The staff were all lovely and very helpful and polite.
I have nothing but praise for this hotel and the staff.
I will absolutely re book a break at this hotel in the future.

Me and my friend stayed one night in the hotel and took full advantage of the pool , jacuzzi etc
My friend had her toe nails painted as there was no slots for anything else as so busy
I would have liked to give the manager in duty a run down of our experience but every where was so busy
The staff saved this giving it a rating of four as if I were going by the room it would be a different story.

An excellent meal in the Lakes Restaurant with very attentive and polite staff. A good selection to choose from with some interesting combinations. Also good to see that they are sourcing produce locally, as much as possible.
