Expensive and pretentious. Some dishes were very good, but it wasn't consistent and the service was poor.

It is a family environment, clean, nice to have drink with friends. Located across the street from hotel/spa.

This restaurant was in a street with lots of other eateries. But it looked the best and certainly did not disappoint. Really meal, washed down with some nice Albariño and good attentive service.

I stay at the Grand Hotel nearby and I popped in at lunch for a soup or something after the previous day I starved in Oviedo...
The traditional soup was very nice - but the stake was 7 stars! I traveled the world and there were the ocasions when I had such a great really tasty one! Not to mention the sos made with forest mushrooms and the slightly fried duck liver sitting in top!
Overall it was perfect! The weiter doesn't really speak much English and there is no translated menu, but we managed to communicate and the service was great, too! Lots of fun taking with our hands :)
Ha! I almost forgot about the salad - I've asked for the smallest one - this was nothing but small - but it was the smallest available! And very good as well.

The bill - very reasonable! All above plus a bear and an espresso - around €40! Not bad - I was absolutely stuffed therefore I promised myself to try something else in the evening.

After three hours in the spa, I was so hungry - so here I am again!

This time I ordered red fish (plancha) - I didn't knew what it was. The weiter this time told me that the fish sits on a bed of chopped beef with mashrooms.

It was bliss! It went well along the Spanish white wine recommended! Then the chef came out asking the customers what they think about their dinner.

A very friendly and professional guy, tried his best to explain his 'magic' while being very modest on my good remarks!

He offered a chocolate cake (heated) with stawberies! What else would you want?!

It is a must to come here and eat if you are travelling around Oviedo / Leon. Nice area, nice food, nice people! What a pity I fly out tomorrow!

Until next time! :)
Marcel
