Me and my family stayed at the resort last week.
The resort showed a great deal of promise with activities around the site.
When we arrived we needed to ask 4 times for a bed to be removed from the accommodation, so a travel cot could be used in a spare room.
Also the activities which showed great promise where extremely limited, only four people able to do archery, having to change by the swimming pool (which the kids caught a cold from).
Also spoke to the residents who also agreed the policies where outdated, and airing on the ridiculous side.
Also with the bar facility you had to book meaning a spontaneous pint wasn't possible.
We would stay again, but I think the resort has a responsibility to guests and staff to reopen with alot less restrictions, we would have spent more money and Time on site if the entertainment wasn't so limited.
I hope talacra does review their policies, I'm sure the residents want to use the services more, and I'm sure there are staff that want to get back to work.

Thank you for leaving a review. During the current climate of having covid restrictions still in place, we are working hard to offer activities and facilities for guests. The restriction on only four people able to do archery is due to the small area that it is played in. All our staff are 'back at work' and the safety of both staff and guests are paramount at this time.

This was the third visit during the last 12 months, and we have booked for another in September. First of all, I just cannot understand people complaining about COVID-19 safety measures, lets just be grateful we are able to enjoy the limited facilities that are on offer, Worldwide! Caravan was comfortable and well equipped. We had booked, “ pet friendly “ so expected some reduced accommodation quality. This was not so. The on-site chippy is as good as any I have used and the camp shop stocks a wide range of supplies. The site is quiet and tidy, always staff going round picking up litter. The small town has 2 pubs, the Lighthouse, has always been a busy pub with entertainment every night, but not allowed during Covid-19. The other pub doing excellent homemade food! Fantastic independent bakery next to the chip shop, ( pie from one and chips and gravy from the other). The beach is fabulous and uncrowded the wildlife haven is fantastic throughout the seasons. Walk up to the hide to see a fantastic selection of resident and visiting waders. The town of Prestatyn is just down the road , with a M&S , And other big names. If the weather is good, you would be hard pushed to find a better holiday ,( with a dog) . Goodbye and see you soon!

Room tip: Arrival time is after 5, so park up outside camp or on the nearby beach car park and enjoy the whole day before checking in!

Arrived 30mins early before booking in time 5pm.. was promptly turned away and told to come back in 30 mins.. don’t know why we couldn’t wait in the line up to book in seen as we were there already, came back 30 mins later to be made to line up with id say 50 + other cars.. got our keys after about another 15 mins.
Got to our caravan and found it ok good size for me my daughter and our dog.. it was mostly clean bit dusty in a couple of places but was ok, bedroom carpet was stained and sofa cushions were grubby!! Smelt bleachy fresh through out!
There was complementary tea coffee and sugar and 1 loo roll so take extra, also a small bottle of washing up liquid and cloth and bin bag.
Bed reasonably comfy and good clean sheets!!
Good selection of dishes pans, large fridge freezer and full size cooker!
No hairdryer!
4 out of 5 for caravan ok just for a couple of days away. Noisy blinking seagulls first thing eeekkk
As for rest of the resort can’t comment because we never used it apart from booking in and leaving was out all day everyday, used a local pub to visit for evening drink which was nice and friendly called the lighthouse inn 5 min walk away.
10 min drive to a local Tesco if you need shopping!
Checking out was definitely easier than checking in there’s a drop box at main reception just drop me go… not much interaction with resort staff wasnt really required.
If you go on the beach just beware there’s isolated patches of quick sand my daughter and dog were knee deep within seconds..these patches are mainly near the lighthouse and out towards the sea after it’s gone out! Lovely golden sand as you step on to beach!!
All in all I’d have to give it 4 out of 5 lovely little resort!!

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. Unfortunately the outdoor check in process does take a little more time that walk in check ins used to but the reception team deal with this as quickly as possible. Housekeeping would have been happy to provide a hairdryer for your use if requested. Pleased that you have enjoyed your break and yes the seagulls do make a lot of unwanted noise. We hope you will stay with us again soon.

We’ve just spent a Monday to Friday break here in a caravan, on the plus side the caravan was very nice and spotlessly clean, the nearby beach was beautiful, on the negative side on arrival the car park was coned off until 5pm check in time which of course meant around a hundred cars queuing to check in at the same time with only one member of staff guiding you into the car park and two members of staff checking you in from your car, and then was told it was busy because we all turned up at the same time, the time we were all told to arrive, this needs sorting out, not enough information was give about the park facilities it was a guessing game, probably won’t stay at this holiday park again but loved the area

Thank you for leaving a review. Unfortunately as we are unable to facilitate walk in check ins at the moment due to covid compliances, we have to operate a drive thru system. The car park is opened at 4.30pm for cars to start to queue and the reception team work as quickly as possible to get all the cars checked in. Information leaflets are given out to guests with their keys, to advise on how to book the swimming pool, bistro and daytime activities. We are sorry you feel like you wouldn't stay with us again but glad you had an enjoyable time exploring the area.

Please don't come to this place, absolutely horrendous experience! There is nothing as advertised on the website, the experience just to enter the park was abysmal. Rude staff, in the middle of nowhere with nothing but two rather rubbish pubs, one of which is only open for 5 hours a day. Caravan was damaged staff couldn't care less! Please save your money and book elsewhere I would never come again
