Great weekend. Purchased fire logs but smoke filled the suite when we lit one. Chimney was open but drafts were blowing down chimney from outside. Keurig and creamer in the room would be a bonus. Food and service was great. Room was amazing. TyMore

The room was clean, quite, and comfortable.
The entertainment was amazing. The comedian was extremely fun. Music was good.
They add some new games such as checker backgammon tables. They also added bowling and fixed up the game area.
We had a server named Justin on the last day, who was absolutely amazing. He made sure that we had our drinks filled. He came and check on us frequently to see if we needed anything while his colleague stood at the entrance talking.
Cons: Which is why gave it a average!
The girl at the front desk needs education on welcoming someone to the establishment. I do not think that she even smile. I complained about her last time. I guess just my luck to get her again.
The food was not great! I have stayed before and the food was better. I am not sure if they changed chef or not, but not good at all.

Always our favorite place but a few issues this time. Fist our check in woman was not pleasant. Her firs greeting was "You're awfully early" and not in a nice way. It was almost 11:00. Took her forever to look up our reservation and when I tried to offer some help because it was two different confirmation numbers she quickly crabbed "I know" We are so used to seeing familiar smiling faces when we got there.
Our other issue was with a CXO. We came for the 11:00 axe throwing around 10:55. He told us we could practice while waiting for more people to show up. He left a little after 11 and never returned. We left disappointed at 11:15.

I spent my birthday with my wife in a champagne tower suite. It was simply the best. The room was great as well as the meals.
I am a silver forever lover and my wife and I plan to come back in the summer some time.

The room design alone took my breath away. From the stump tables, to the room set up, right the pool, it was fantastic, I really enjoyed watching my husband's face light up more and more as I waited for him to reach the bedroom. Not one disappointing moment. nightlife was Great, BIG Ups to the comedians, comedy show was hilarious. can't wait to come back,
oh and one last thing good was Great. our stay was Flawless as fast as we were concerned

I have been a forever lover for over 30 years. i have been to all three resorts in the years past. i have seen some really bad things and some really good things at each one.
while the forever lovers program has down graded its perks, and new owners saved the resorts and did some much needed improvements. its a lovely place to spend a weekend.
I stayed in an Apple (garden) room it was absolutely flawless (108) the pool area had not one chip in the tile, the mirrors were spotless, and the bathrooms are new and clean. I have had my share of worn out rooms in the years.
the linens were WHITE not yellow as the sister resort has at times.
The cleaning staff in Pocono Palace is spot on . My pool mirrors were cleaned everyday, plenty of towels and floor cleaned daily. A room is only as good as it is clean.
The dining room staff are very accommodating. While it is ran like a tight ship Reservations are required. The chef is amazing The food was hot, tasty and a nice selection on the menu. Again being a FL I have seen many changes over the years in this chapter . vegan no problem Call ahead and let them know so they can have the correct items.
Now for the not so good news. Again this is my opinion.
I feel the staff at the desk are professional while my husband thinks they are not as friendly as the sister resort. In their defense everyone knows us better at the other resort because we recently changed .. More smiles and bright hellos i guess might make him feel differently.
Being a forever lover (highest level) we were not comped for breakfast on the first day. I know the rules have changed so we decided not to eat on our last day . I wish we would have been given a comp for breakfast just to show how sometimes they do go the extra mile. maybe in the future the front staff will be able to offer that Especially that the resort was not busy. Two more eggs wouldn't have made a difference. Again it wasn't a deal breaker.
All and all its a positive review . Don't pass this weekend place up for couples looking to get away. its truly very pretty
