Exellent value lunchtime specials, I always order the chicken satay and the red curry. The satay is the best I have tasted - the chicken perfectly grilled and the sauce tastes homemade and delicious. The tempura vegetables are also a favourite - the batter is light and crispy. I have tried other dishes and they are all fresh and delicious. The service is attentive, friendly and the atmosphere calming. A little treasure of authentic Thai in Newark.

We ate here on out way back from staying in the Peak District yesterday.
The staff were really friendly and accommodating. When we told them we didn't eat fish or eggs they bought us salted peanuts instead of prawn crackers as an appetizer.
The food was lovely and fresh, good flavours and decent sized portions. We especially loved the stir fry with aubergine.
Would definitely go again if we were in the area.
Thanks guys!

We were staying one night in Newark and decided on this restaurant based on reviews. We were not disappointed! It was v quiet on a Tuesday night and we had a warm welcome. The only disappointment were the prawn crackers - not the usual spicy Thai variety!
The starter we chose was the vegetarian platter to share. This was simply scrummy and had a great variety of treats. And lots of it!
This was followed by veggie green curry - quite runny - but delicious. We also had one of the stir fries which was flavoursome and spicy.
We have eaten Thai food in most towns we visit and this was up with the best.
The feature of the menu was the simplicity. It has a stir fry section, curry section etc but each dish can be made with chicken, prawn, tofu, veggies etc so there is an easy selection to make and lots of choice if vegetarian (as we were eating as wife is vegetarian).
Highly recommended. £45 for starters and mains for 2 with beers.

Was a takeaway and we thought we would try it as we always use Thai Sabai, but Dee Dees menu is more expansive. Whilst I was late, 10 minutes, the food was left on the counter instead of being kept warm so was cold. There is a 15% reduction for takeaway so I calculated from the takeaway menu on the website. I then haggled over £8 which they honoured, to be fair to them. Got home and the food was greasy and no way near as tasty as Thai Sabai. Neither me nor my wife felt too good after either. Maybe different dishes would have been better but we won;t be back.

I love this place. We've been loads of times both to eat in and to take away. Tonight after a long weekend away we called in for a takeaway and were reminded why we keep coming back. The food is consistently excellent, the service unwaveringly friendly and this time they had recommended a slightly different chicken dish that we'd not had before and it is absolutely awesome!
