Still my favourite mid bike ride place to stop for sustenance. It's always double shot Americano and Granola slice for me. Friends and family that have sometimes come with me, have also really enjoyed what's on offer.
Love they people, service, drinks and cakes at the Harbour Master,

Thank trilolly x

Hi my friend, you are one of our favourite cyclist who stops and enjoys the view and regenerates the 'batteries'. We love to hear that service and the drinks etc are good for you. See you next time.

Lovely place for lunch, whilst visiting Newark castle and riverside. Light lunches of paninis/topped toast or gourmet burgers. Unfortunately no children's menu, so they had to cope with the massive 8oz burgers! Good choice of cakes and drinks. Friendly service and convenient parking.

If you just want a cup of tea or coffee this place is hard to beat, but not only does it offer tea and coffee there are a myriad of other refreshments available as well, from soft drinks to alcohol, from cakes and snacks to meals, it's well worth a visit.

Lunch after a shopping trip. A lovely warm welcome and a lovely welcoming interior. The menu is short but offers something for everyone. The bagel with smoked salmon was delicious, I was particularly impressed by the presentation as the salmon was prepared with the cream cheese and dill and served in a glass on the side rather than slapped in the bagel. Parents both had brie and bacon and liked the quality and quantity of the food. The cakes were very tempting but we were full. Coffee was tasty and many degrees better than the usual high street offerings.

Highly recommend.

As our son was at a music festival, we spent the day in & around Newark. We had walked along the river & spotted this lovely looking cafe in the morning (unfortunately we had stopped elsewhere for a very disappointing coffee) but stopped at the Harbour Master in the afternoon, we were not disappointed, peppermint tea was delicious as was the blueberry & apple cake and along with hubby's coke was very reasonable priced. Staff were lovely, welcoming & attentive. If we ever return to Newark, will definitely be back. Should've stopped here for coffee!!
