As usual the Beck never disappoints. Given a very welcome by the very friendly and efficient staff. Shown to a table in the very well presented and comfortable restaurant. The menu and special board offer a good choice of food tosuit all tastes and pockets. The 2 and 3 course special set menu is particularly good value. Our starters and main courses arrived beautifully presented and perfectly cooked - all delicious ! Well done everybody - keep up the good work !

Thank clara c

Very conveniently situated only a couple of miles from the A1. We picked this from a guide book as it was half way on our 5 hour journey. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food exactly as I would have wished it, and priced fairly. This is now a "must" as our North-South lunch stop.

Picturesque frontage, pleasant staff, food fine, potatoes a tad cold. Service a bit forgetful, we had to ask for our pre ordered sweet. All in all fine, would go back.

We would have taken pictures of the food eaten at this wonderful pub but it was so nice we couldn't wait.
Highly recommended for a good selection of food both main meals and bar snacks.
Friendly staff and plenty of parking.
Much better than stopping at a service station.

I was visiting the Newark Aircraft Museum for their Cockpit Fest w/end in mid -June . I was recommended to eat here by the "Hunger Barn" where I was staying . The lady in charge here made me feel most welcome , and the two evening meals I ate here were really satisfying after hot days on a stand at the museum .
I would heartily recommend this place if you are staying in the area , as the atmosphere , the staff and the food were excellent . A great credit to the management .
