We stopped here for a drink. The staff are very friendly as are the locals.
The queens head is a real village pub just as it should be. Full of character with oak beams just as you would expect a village pub to be. We didn't eat here but from what I saw on the menu and what other people were eating we will be returning to try the food. I will let you know how that goes.
So if you are heading out that way near by or just passing through do stop here you won't regret it.

This is the epitome of an English country pub. Oak beams, low ceilings, and oozing with character. Good pub grub, beer and snacks. A warm welcome awaits.
Highly recommended!

A lovely little friendly pub full of locals just chilling out, eating, drinking and socializing. We went for a Sunday roast recently, cooked by George and it was beautiful, really good value for money and vert tasty.

If you are ever in the area I would recommend popping in.

Lovely friendly place. The room wasn't touched though during my stay of a week here. I had to ask for tea and coffee top ups and my bin wasn't emptied. Room could have done with a total blitz of a clean before hand but was still very nice, fridge, toaster and microwave was supplied but my toaster had a old piece of toast left in it!

Stayed here for 2 nights whilst meeting our new granddaughter Esme. On arrival a decent size car park. Couldn't immediately check in as the only staff on that day was making a toasties for another customer. Taken to our room and it was fine but with a little attention could have been improved. No booked breakfast here but some cereals and milk are left in the room. Also a toaster but no bread. A microwave can be easily accessed. Nice little on suite. Plumbing not the best but functional. Shower took a bit of working out but worked fine when we sussed it. No heating on but it was not necessary. There was a plug in fire and hair dryer. Tv worked ok. In the bar the ale was in perfect condition. The wi fi was hopeless but everywhere we go that uses o2 is the same. It's not the Ritz or the Grand but for what we wanted it was perfect and pet friendly too. Keep up the good work. Only 2 rooms so book quickly.
