Sydney Wattle Hotel was the place we chose for our stay at SYD. We chose a room for 6, which had 2 queen-sized beds and 2 single beds. They also provided a 51-inch TV and microwave. And most important, the room is huge ans clean ✨
Bcz we liked it so much, we chose Sydney Wattle House again on our 2nd visit!

This location is great outside has a bus stop which runs straight to the harbour. Few steps down from hotel there is a shop were you top up your OPAL (NSW public transport card). heaps of shops and diners around the area. very noisy during ThursFriSatSundays as bars are around the area. An adult shop and liquor shop are right next to the hotel. Not suitable for people with leg and knee problems as this bldg has no elevator, you need to use stairs. the room was nice and clean. the roof tophas great views at night.

The staff were friendly but the motel had more like a hostel feel about it we were glad we booked the penthouse suite which was ok we had a rooftop terrace that gave ok views of the city lights and buildings, we were disappointed to learn that we were not able to smoke on the roof terrace, rather we would have had to walk down three flights of stairs just to have a smoke the area of the accommodation was seedy, and the bed was obviously way past used as it creeked all night long, we were disappointed in the huge shower head with a treacle of water escaping which didn't allow us to enjoy the shower and due to the reception not opening before 8:30am we couldn't get our refund we would not recommend or stay here again we suggest looking closer to the city or out of the city

Room Tip: roof top is ok but ypou cannot smoke and it is a walk up three flights of stairs

This has by far been the worst experience. This place is a shocker! Broken bathroom tiles cupboard doors falling off hinges and windows with no locks. So beware if you are travelling with children. Had to check out the same day and find alternative accomodation. Also cables all over the room. Despite not staying there they withheld $300!

If you're wanting a fancy hotel, you better avoid staying here. While it's right in the middle of Darlinghurst, it is an old building with remodeled small rooms, so don't expect 4 star. It is a secured access though.

These rooms are ok for a night or two, but the price is reasonable for the location. The stairwell smells a bit (carpet needs changing to rid the smell) and there is only access to rooms by stairs... good exercise. Beds are low but comfortable, bathrooms a little squeezy but clean with hot water. Linen is provided (with shampoo and soap), plus tea/coffee supplies and a TV.

Don't expect a peace and quiet- you are in the middle of Darlinghurst.
