This is a great little Ramen place in the city close to CBD as well as Darling Harbour. Worth a visit if you are a nearby. It is quick and has a great range of Ramen. The servings are plentiful and the soup is hot. By hot I mean temperatue. Which segues me to the Dynamite.

Holy smokes - the lava like bad boy is topped with pork mince as well as all the other accoutrements, noodles, nori, menma (the bamboo things), egg and the shoyu broth. It really packs a punch of flavpur and a kick of heat that will have you enjoying your plastic cup of water reflled multiple times.

Great choice to get you kickstarted during the day or fired up before a night out.

Hidden under a office block, this Japanese casual noodle bar is very popular.
On the time I went, there was already a queue of 4 tables before the dinner service starting time of 6pm.

The layout is made up of huge tables and bar style seating inside and a few tables of 2-3 outside.

KARAGE RAMEN
They were generous with the chicken, although I'm not a fan of them serving it in the soup, I guess that's the tradition. Noodles were nice with a bite to them. The only big mistake was a long hair found in the soup.

MENYA RAMEN (SET MEAL)
The only slice of pork in it was very delicious and the egg was also pretty good. Soup was well-seasoned and the noodles same as above.

BEEF CURRY
Beef was so tender with that classic sweet Japanese curry and rice.

GYOZA
Average dumplings but can't really complain for the price as part of the deal. Although I would not order them separately.

Conclusion
Good value, although lacking that x-factor. The hair in the ramen might have affected the taste psychologically either way that should not happen no matter how much you charge.

Food comes out quick. Highly recommend the ramen at this place, one of the best I've eaten in Sydney. Portions are large so great value for money.

The experience here is quite fun, with the big spoons and big bowls of ramen. The flavour is quite strong but a lot of people prefer it like that. My friend definitely does. Cosy but not a place for relaxing with a book, but a great place for the on the go.

This was right near my hotel and with David Chang's recommendation as Sydney's best ramen I had to have a go. It was pretty good but not awe inspiring. Maybe I ordered wrong - I had miso instead of tonkatsu as per Chang's review. The pork was really great and the noodles chewy but in the end it was only so-so.
