Overpriced for unpowered site. This place left a bitter taste. We were greeted by 2 young staff (backpackers) who really didn't know much about the place and were not welcoming or informative. Seen no one else or any other staff for the entire visit. Questioned weather the place actually is a working station as the place seemed rather run down. If your wanting to see some Aussy cowboys or chat with a local who knows the area, dont bother with thjs place. The Homestead area was nice, but we camped no where near it and was made to feel like we were not allowed in the bar area. Pretty much go and find a spot in the paddock and dont both us for the rest of your visit kind of feel! The chef was not working, so we didn't even get a meal which I hear is a regular occurrence, (luckily we had some food) the beers were $15.00 each! Rediculous for somewhere that is only 30mins from Alice Springs! If your looking for a Station feel or experience, this is not the place. The camp area with glamping tents is full off cow poo with wild cattle hanging around which stunk, full of flies. It felt more like a massive sandpit in the cattle yards. Told we could camp at the old movie scene area, not a great option either. So we camped in an overgrown paddock full of ants, near the noisy windmill behind a dead tree for some shade. Too far from showers/ toilets so we couldnt use them. Pick a spot in a farmers paddock kinda feel for $50! Worst place we stayed for our entire trip.
