Unfortunately the bush camping experience did not equate to enjoyment. It was extremely basic. Breakfast was included in the inflated price we paid of over $200 per night! Breakfast was awful. No cereal no fruit no choice. After the first morning we took some bread back to the bush kitchen to cook toast in the toaster. However the toaster was broken - half worked after some coaxing. Paper plates and plastic knives were provided. The cafe where burgers could be purchased for dinner was good. The burgers and chips were great. Staff there were friendly and helpful. Being able to use the laundry for washing was good. Thank you for providing that facility but please reconsider breakfast and the price of your bush tents.

We spent two nights at Kings Creek Station and were very disappointed with aspects of our stay. We understand we were in a remote location ( we have stayed in many) and that we are emerging from a pandemic, but this cannot excuse the lack of hospitality and generosity given to guests by some staff.
A small dust covered tent is provided with barely room for two single squeaky beds ...... the door knob proved a frustrating challenge with every entry and exit. No broom was provided to sweep out the constant and totally expected red dust. The swimming pool was dirty and was full of wasps
. The “Camp Kitchen” was so ill equipped it was unbelievable. No cups, no plates and an old opened packet of plastic teaspoons .....no lighter for the gas stove .... an old fridge (which was full even though there were only a few guests) .....and an ancient microwave. The hot water tap had been removed making it difficult to wash dishes and adhere to COVID regulations At $200 per night this is vastly opportunistic and overpriced. Cafe and restaurant staff were a saving grace ...very helpful and pleasant. Surely each guest could have cup/plate /cutlery provided in their tent with tea and coffee sachets. A little generosity and hospitality goes a long way to keeping guests happy. We would not recommend the bush tent option......though the camping area looked great.

Recommended to stop on our way to kings canyon.
Didn’t look open when we pulled up, a bit tired and run down.
The cafe staff member was uninterested and service was basic.

Basic bush tent but as advertised and comfy beds with air conditioning. Shared toilets/shower facilities and kitchen facilities poor - obviously under-staffed so we felt sorry for the staff that were there as they were obviously over-stretched. Quick a few things were broken e.g. door handles, lights etc so they should focus on getting these simple things fixed. Although website advertised activities - none were working and it definitely was not a working cattle station which we thought it would be from reading the website. Pool was nice and refreshing. Restaurant was very limited with only sandwiches and burgers being served until 7pm but Sam the chef was very friendly and all other staff (including receptionist was kind and helpful.) Overall - score would have been lower if it had not been for the staff and service.
