Hotel was clean staff friendly restaurant wasn’t open at all and pub next door not much choice for dinner has to go into Darwin for breakfast or dinner was about $10 one way in Uber , bed was only changed once in a 10 day stay had to ask for tea coffee ect as never refilled also clean towels was a bit disappointed in the hotel
What a total dump! Do not stay here at any cost, the room was filthy, cobwebs everywhere, my daughter had 3 spiders next to her bed. I looked under the sink to see what I thought was a bug turns out it was false eyelash! The room was also crawling with tiny mites!! The fridge was warm, the kettle didn’t work. The door didn’t even have a lock on it.
The hotel should not be advertised as suitable for families as all! It is clearly used for FIFO/shift worker with them tilting out the front smoking and drinking, as well as around the pool (which is covered in animal droppings and uneven paving). The pool side furniture was a miss match of old furniture, I dare not sit in any of it.
The whole time we were there out bin was never emptied and never given fresh towels, note as well 3 of us in the room and only given 2 towels.
Avoid at all costs.
Absolutely disgusting. Nothing works properly including the air conditioning or the laundry. Reception is useless. There is nothing in the rooms. The toilet in our room was separated from the base and black stuff came out of the base of the taps in bathroom.
We ate in the hotel one night and while the food we ate was ok they had run out of everything.
The 2nd night we went to eat they had nothing left at 7..15pm
On our arrival the gentleman at reception was pleasant, not a bad location with a 10 minute walk into the Main Street. There was a pub down stairs and a bottle shop. A couple of restaurants near by which were not bad. But this hotel is extremely run down. Rooms are very old looking and the bathrooms are an absolute disgrace. Would highly recommend looking elsewhere if you are after alittle comfort.
Booked one night as somewhere cheap to stay and freshen up for a 1:15 am flight home and wasn't expecting it to be flash. We were given a room on the 1st floor which was pretty ordinary and I think it's because they knew we weren't staying the whole night so they gave us the worst room. Gee I hope it was the worst room. Door lock was wobbly, the plate around it was missing and I reckon one good punch would have knocked it out. No glasses to drink out of, no tissues, timber paneling on cabinets was dodgy and the little door knobs on the cabinet hiding the fridge were about to fall off so I tightened them up. The room and bathroom were clean. There was a phone with a dial tone but no numbers listed anywhere so I found the hotel on line and called reception using my mobile phone to get a couple of glasses but was told he would come up later because he was busy. My wife went down 10 minutes later and he provided 2 wine glasses but gave her 2 normal glasses when she said they weren't suitable. Pool area was nice and the pool looked clean but we didn't use it. The bar area is really just the local pub and is full of locals and tradies. The hotel is in a pretty poor location and to be frank it's seen better days. The land is probably worth more than the building.
