Everything was excellent: room, breakfast, assistance from reception , restaurant and room staff, pool ....... What more can I say? I will certainly stay at the Double Tree by Hilton again and recommend it to friends. The hotel's position on the Esplanade and close to the shops and restaurants was a great bonus.

This is a tired old Double Tree, which has a little maintenance construction noise.
That would have been three stars at best but the clincher (in 2024) they wanted to charge a guest $9.95 for 24 hours internet access.
Charges for internet access immediately drop a hotel two stars. But this one seems so unapologetic about it.
I would have thought the Hilton flag would have crushed this idiocy, but whatever.
Not only won't I recommend this but I have probably stayed at my last Hilton ever.

So many things going for this hotel. Fab staff, rooms clean and modern and really nice. Pool is massive and well maintained. Nice pool bar area. Brekkie was fabulous, but lunch and dinner not so great at all.management really need to sort this. Big let down. The outside of the building desperately needs attention. It’s grubby and really not the Hilton brand at all.

Great experience staying at the Double Tree in Darwin. Staff , right down to the room cleaners were so helpful and obliging. The Hotel was in the final stages of undergoing room upgrades with minimal noise to guests. The Hotel is clean and tidy, and meals are of good quality. Special thanks to Shania and Isabella at reception for their help. We intend to return soon.

I found this hotel to be very comfortable, I stopped in a group tour for 2 nights.
The room was clean, but the shower leaked and it probably did need a bit of TLC to improve it.
Reception had obviously been recently refurbished and was spotless. However, on 4th floor (above me) major building work was going on. Drilling began at 9am and several of our tour had problems with accessing rooms along a corridor with cases.
It’s such a shame as the hotel is well positioned, has a decent pool and amenities. Not much more to say other than I’d probably stop here again as overall (for me) it was pretty good.
