Recently had the pleasure to dine at Sake in Brisbane with family for my birthday. The atmosphere is really fantastic with a great view over the Brisbane river with glimpses in the background of the story bridge. The first thing that you notice when dining at Sake is how friendly, knowledgeable and attentive the staff are, offering great advice on choosing a menu for our table and explaining each dish in detail as it arrived. Nothing was too much trouble and we felt like VIPs from the moment we arrived. Of course the most important part of dining out is the food and Sake certainly didn't disappoint, with a fresh and modern take on traditional Japanese dishes and serving very fresh and tasty food. We enjoyed each dish that we ordered however a few items really stood out including the Tooth Fish which was marinated in miso and just melted in your mouth. The Sashimi and sushi selections were extremely fresh and very well presented and we also tried the prawn dumplings and scampi tempura. For dessert an enormous "birthday" platter arrived with a selection of 4 desserts which also beautifully presented and delicious. We can't wait to return to try Sake again and would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. Bookings would be highly recommended.

This is an amazing Japanese Resturant right on the water at Eagle street.
Super fresh and fun ideas for sashimi....super innovative menu.
We had the chefs suggestion plate and it was outstanding - a really diverse and varied menu which made it both fun to anticipate what was being served and delicious when it arrived.

A very good wine list along with top end champagne and saki served warm or cold - as you wish.
The decor is understated dark colours deep
Wooden tables, selected furniture to make it feel warm - Inviting and cosy at the same time elegant Japanese - long large tables, intimate singles or private dining rooms for groups couples or whom ever.
We will be back

Sake is a great lunch venue if you want a fast bite or a long afternoon. Moving from the traditional Japanese menu into more fusion dishes provides many options. The sashimi is fresh and the torched rolls are exquisite. Not a cheap eats venue and stepping through the door will confirm the fine dining atmosphere. Service is top notch. Next business lunch, try here.

love Japanese food and Brisbane has a couple of fine Japanese restaurants I have visited saki three or 4 times now and I keep coming back
Great position and ambiance but the standout real was very good service not hovering or intruding but attentive and response
menu (which changes from visit to visit) is a bit like a Japanese tapas in that meals are designed and presented in a manner to encourage sharing.
we enjoyed a couple of shashimi dishes a beef and tartare that was pretty unique prawn dumplings that are light and melt in the mouth and tempura scampy All were excellent Dishes are not large and this was a bout right for 2 people Not cheap at $150 a head for two (included 2 drinks each) But worth it for great service and quality.
I will be back again

We couldn't fault this place. We love Japanese cuisine and dine at various restaurants regularly but this place has taken top of our list. The food was full of flavour and delicious, not to mention beautifully presented. The setting and service were both perfect - we have been talking about our experience there ever since. Thank you, Sake. We'll be back!
