The hotel staff are very helpful and the situation of the hotel is great for doing business in Brisbane. Downstairs is a great cafe open for meals breakfast and lunch.
Rooms and hotel is art deco and the owners have left much of this lovely art work to be enjoyed.

Room Tip: Choose the right hand side and you get a lovely view out the windows

Lovely old hotel that had some wonderful features. Great location - not far from the Brisbane River, Central Station and the main shopping area of Brisbane. Rooms are good size, clean, a little dated but ok. Staff were friendly and helpful. I thought the 2 night stay was good value. Would definitely book again should we return to Brisbane.

I really liked the apartment we stayed in. It was well equipped with everything you need. Staff were very nice and helpful. I loved the breakfast basket, it was a very nice touch. We arrived to the hotel at 7.15pm on the Friday to find they were already closed. Contacting them and getting in took some time and it was quite frustrating after a 13 hour drive. You get one key, two would be better. We stayed for 6 nights and had a car park allocated for us. The car parking needs improvement as it does not work. There is double parks where you can be blocked in by someone and have to get their car moved (which is ok during staffed hours). There is mimimum turning space and it takes a lot of manoeuvring around to get in and out of a space. I scratched my car on a post getting too close to it while trying to get out on the last day. There was no maid service during our stay so we had the same towel for the week. I am sure they would only be too happy to change it if you asked as they were very helpful. Was disappointed that the roof was closed so I did not get to use the spa that I was looking forward to. I would stay again, only without a car though, I would never park there again.

We stayed at the Rothbury for 4 Days. Management & staff were very helpful. The room was very comfortable & we look forward to staying again. The only downside was the difficult process getting to our car with the elevators not working to the car park. We hoped that's fixed when we next stay.

Was looking forward to my one night at this hotel before long overseas trip. Position is easy walking to city centre and central station and this old heritage hotel fits in well. Reception was easy but watch out for limited hours. Room is spacious with comfortable separate bedroom and a good size bathroom plus you have the kitchen facilities of a suite. Had a good nights sleep in comfortable bed.
However breakfast was meant to be included no mention of whats on offer when I checked in! What is on offer? Well its in the fridge and very poor, most country motels would offer better than this - 2 slices of white bread, sweetened fruit juice, small high sugar brand cereal plus milk. Very poor and would hardly rate as a healthy start to your day.
Rating down due to breakfast offering!
