Some of my friends only go to Sono for their teppanyaki bar - which is a shame; because the a la carte menu is so good (the miso black cod will change your life).

But my last couple of visits have been at lunchtime, and I have opted for their bento boxes. The food is beautifully presented, the sashimi is incrdibly fresh, and the 'hot' dish (last time teriyaki salmon, the time before slow braised pork belly which literally melted) are delicious. Sono's sushi and hand rolls are wonderful too...but honestly, try a bento box - you won't be disappointed.

For singles, couples or large groups this place has the flavour and atmosphere covered. Not cheap but not as expensive as other Japanese in Brisbane

High end Japanese restaurant, great food and service. Sashimi plates and sukiyaki are very nice. Good venue for dinner for couples or for a business lunch.

We came here for a night out and what a night we had! The staff are dressed in traditional kimonos. We sat in a sunken booth next to the windows where you are asked to remove your shoes. The staff also removed their shoes when serving. The sashimi is to die for!! I also recommend the tasting plates so you get a taste of everything. Wine list is also very good. All in all, a great night out!
