We booked in for 3 nights as Accor members and were greatly disappointed.
This is definitely not a 4* establishment and its wrong of the company to portray it as one.
The living area had 2 small stained couches on it.
The balcony had 2 cheap plastic chairs and that was it.
The air con only works in living area and not in bedroom as well.
There was one remote for 2 tvs which is just ridiculous.
The bed in the bedroom is so much length wise that my husband who is only 5ft 10 feet were hanging off the edge.
The only decent thing about this complex is the location but the expense that you pay to stay here is not worth the location given Cairns is so easy to walk around.
We come up to cairns on a regular basis and we would never stay here again nor would we recommend it to anyone.
Our advce is to do a MAJOR overhaul of the rooms and until that haopens reduce your rates to reflect at best its 3 *

Dear Twinadoes2,

Thank you for sharing your feedback and I am sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations. The experience you are describing, is certainly not our usual standard, and I wish to sincerely apologise for it. We do have rooms that have been fully refurbished, and these are called One bedroom Trinity Apartments, with a view over the Trinity Inlet. These apartments form the majority of our inventory and I would highly recommend you book these next time. Again, please accept my sincerest apologies, and I hope you would give us another chance in the near future to better serve you.
Kind regards,
Adriette

First impressions of walking into the hotel I thought it would be a good experience - nice lobby. The harbour is gorgeous but this has nothing to do with the hotel. That is where any praise will end.

On arrival, we were given a two bedroom apartment on the second floor. Immediately after walking in the room we smelt a strong stench - it smelt dirty (it was however clean), and felt run down. I immediately called down to reception and 10 minutes later one of the night managers came up.

Instead of defusing the situation he stated "Well the room has been rented out every night and we have not had a problem" - Whoever has stayed in that room has issues with smell or are happy to put up with substandard accommodation.

We were moved to another room (at an extra cost) which had a slight resemblance to the image on the website. This room had a carpet which was full of stains both dirt and bleach as well as mould over the blinds. The apartment had no character what so ever and it felt like a 2 star establishment (or what I imagine a 2 star establishment to be)

Wifi - if you need wifi whilst your staying at this hotel get a dongle. Wifi at the hotel is a joke.

I stay with the Accor brand around the world and I am usually happy however this "hotel" is sub standard addition to the Accor brand.

The hotel is listed as 4 stars - I suggest the board who reviewed the hotel do so again.

Room tip: Book a different hotel

Dear Luke,
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I am sorry to hear about your dissatisfying experience, and I wish to express my sincerest apologies. I am disappointed that the manager on duty was unable to resolve the situation in a manner that may have satisfied your complaint more. I will certainly discuss this incident with him. I understand that the room you were allocated afterwards, has issues with the carpet and blinds and we are in final stages of a refurbishment for that particular room.
Again, I am sorry that we did not extend the service we pride ourselves on to you and on this occassion, and I hope that you will give us another chance to better serve you.
Kind Regards,
Adriette

This hotel is located in a prefect location for business and tourists. I had a standard room that was relatively large with a good view of the inlet. The room was quite. The shower was terrific after arriving in late. The bed was a little disappointing with the middle very hard. It must have been two single joined. The pillows however made up for this issue. Location is great to walk to the reef day trips. There are plenty of eating options just down stairs or within easy walking distance.

One of the places to stay. Very well located. Close to all the action.
Not cheap but well worth it. Apartment rooms serviced daily - nice. Hotel facilities all very nice.
Staff friendly and always accomodated our requests. Highly recommend.

What a surprise this was........ we had checked our the harbour side hotels but they were well out of our budget. We pulled up outside, called reception and managed to snag a room for under $200 and in addition to this, they let us in the room before 12 midday, this was a nice surprise, especially after paying $130 a night in a clapped out cabin at the caravan parks. In addition, the reception staff were really nice folks as well.
Our room was overlooking the Harbour right where all the tourist boat action is. Very busy with coming and goings of every water craft you can imagine. I spent a lot of time just watching the action from the balcony.
At the front of the hotel are many waterfront restaurants offering all sorts of great food. We had a few beers and lunch there for a reasonable price.
Back in the room was a king bed and all the usual features. Will definitely be back here as its right in the heart of Cairns and you walk downstairs and you are off to the Great Barrier Reef in the boat of your choosing.

Room tip: Ask for harbour views
