Stayed at this property for two nights. Previously stayed a few years back and it appears no upgrade of the facilities or apartments have been made since my last visit. If you can get a good deal, it is still worthwhile staying there as its fairly central without being right in-town. A block away from the beach and a 10 minute walk to downtown Surfers Paradise and all its gaudy shops, clubs and restaurants.
The apartment I was given on the 35th floor was large (two bedroom) with great views over the sea and distant hinterland. Clean with all facilities but could do with a makeover, mainly the kitchen and bathroom.
I would have given it a higher score but for a couple of issues which annoyed me. Firstly, a hefty charge to use the wi-fi which in these times seems outside the norm and, secondly, having booked with Qantas, I though it said that there would be daily servicing which apparently is only once per week! Also, the breakfast at $27 is a bit expensive
Still, it served its purpose and would probably stay there again if the price was right.More
