My friends and I stayed here for a week for Schoolies and were treated well during the week, friendly staff who were helpful. The room was large, spacious and completely as described with a nice view over the river. The beds however were rock hard and after paying for a 5-bed apartment, one of the beds was in fact a rollaway with a mattress about 2 inches thick ! Not what you expect when you pay $500+ per person !!

My sour attitude towards this hotel comes from the sly actions of the hotel manager once we'd checked out.

We each paid $200 bond and expected the whole amount to be refunded as we'd fully abided by the rules and left the apartment absolutely spotless. Upon applying for our bond refund we found that we'd each had $30 taken for "Extra Room Cleaning".

Upon contacting the hotel and asking why this money was taken, the manager said the carpet was dirty. WE HADN'T EVEN TOLD HIM WHICH ROOM WE WERE STAYING IN !! Goes to show that this must be a frequent lie they use to claim bond money, knowing that there's nothing we can do about it as it was paid prior to check-in.

We asked the manager for photo-proof and this conveniently could not be provided, so when asked for an invoice for the supposed "carpet cleaning", I was emailed a scrappy excel spreadsheet that said "carpet cleaning" and "additional room cleaning" $150. So there was no legitimate record of any extra cleaning or professional carpet cleaning for that matter.

After trying to get through to the hotel, I was yelled at, mocked and hung up on !!

Booked after getting a deal from www.wotif.com.
We given a ground level apartment and it was very dark and not much natural light came into the room.
When we booked we asked for a porta cot as we have an infant son ... upon arrival there was no cot... the manager had to go to the shops and buy one .... but then there was no matress or sheets, so we had to share our with him - NOT IMPRESSED !!!!!
The whole place felt dirty and the furniture was yuck and I felt like i was going to be attacked by bugs and the carpet felt awful also.
One of the couches in the lounge was broken and I fell through it - not good when I was pregnant.
Pool was ok, didn't think it was very cool that the manager was hanging out in the pool with his mates though and booked the BBQ for himself ....
The oven was rubbish.
I would never recommend this place to others .... YUCK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Really lovely homely apartments. Great value for money. Clean, airy, lots of natural light, HD-TV with Foxtel. Beautiful setting around a "forest'-like courtyard full of birds, with BBQ, pool and spa.
The courteous staff makes you feel right at home.
Minutes from the shops, the beach and all the theme parks by bus within walking distance.
After staying 2 nights in one of the 4 star hotels of the area, where nothing was included, everything (including kids' games on TV) had to be paid extra, this was paradise!

Travelled to the Gold Coast for the Gold Coast 600. The position was fantastic short walk to Cavill Ave and after a full day in the hot sun relaxing by the pool right on the river was a fantastic way to end the day. Free secure undercover parking available and allowed us to have 2 car parks at no extra cost.

Great location, quiet but still close enough to walk to shops & restaurants etc. Great canal location, with pool. Big apartments that are well laid out and good value for price. However apartment was far from clean. There were actually crumbs all over the coffee table and kitchen bench. Benches and cupboards felt greasy and dirty. I ended up buying some spray and wipe as it turned me off touching anything. Cobwebs in corners and fake plants covered in dust a few mm thick! Fabric couch also felt yucky and my skin kept breaking out in a rash every time I sat on it (possibly due to cleanign chemicals - I hope)
Also unseasonally cold when we stayed and only two thin blankets supplied for two adults and two children. No heating.
