2 night stay after being caught up in Airlie Beach during Cyclone Debbie. We booked a family room for the four of us last minute after being sent to Townsville. Room was basic but clean. Receptionist was absolutely lovely, can not rate her enough. Let us check out late due to our late flight despite the option being unavailable. Great location opposite the rock pool. Would recommend to anyone looking for budget accommodation.

We had a 2 bedroom room. Room could have benefited from an airing before we arrived was hot and stuffy. Everything was clean. Kitchenette was minuscule but I guess did the job. Large bathroom. Location is certainly good although for $230 a night considerably dearer than ocean breeze down the road with undercover parking and a more modern layout. Probably won't be back.

The location is great and the bed/linen are comfortable. Easy parking and free wifi are appreciated.
The rooms themselves and especially the bathrooms really need to be renovated. The air conditioning unit (like the bathrooms) is very old and thus extremely loud! Good luck sleeping when it is on.

We had room at the front with a sea view but the room was badly insulated with wooden slates in place of what had been a window. Consequently we got noise from the road and noise from the pool which was just below our window. When we arrived the toilet seat was broken and one of the windows had warped and did not close properly. We complained next morning and these were attended to immediately, but the window was still not completely closed. The balcony was tiny and there was barely room to sit at the table. The kitchen was adequately equipped with microwave etc.

Room Tip: Front rooms noisy

I stayed over for one night as was attending an Expo in Townsville. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I had a ground floor room next to the swimming pool with a view across to the ocean.
It was very convenient and easy to find somewhere safe to park my car.
There was a fish and chip shop across the road which sold fresh fish and chips which was delicious.
I took advantage of the warm evening and walked along The Strand which I thoroughly enjoyed.
I would recommend this motel.
