Very bad experience at end of stay which tarnished the whole experience.
Mistake at checkout meant that my credit card was billed twice. Attendant was apologetic and advised that extra funds were pending and would be returned. Didnt happen.
Contacted front desk days later and advised accordingly. They advised that form would be sent to bank to release funds. This occurred but error in form for wrong credit card details. Advised accordingly and no response.
Days go by and double billing remains.
Contact bank and advised that Daydream have both billed amounts as both amounts were cleared ie I paid twice.
Another email asking for refund and as usual days pass with no refund or communication from resort.
Checked out nearly 1 month ago and I’m out over $5K and soon charged interest on outstanding balance.
Trying to be understanding with impact of COVID-19 etc on tourism sector but surely this isn’t the benchmark for quality resorts in the Whitsundays.
Surely customer service should include correcting these types of issues.More
