Faye’s is time capsule to the past!
Such an amazing place. Highly recommended as a must see for anyone visiting Coober Pedy.

Tour guide Grant was fantastic. Very knowledgeable, entertaining, and friendly.

Thank you Grant & Jan!

Guide provided us with an overview of the history of the house and the people behind it. Certainly worthwhile putting it on your itinerary.

Easy walk from the Desert Cave Hotel. Great information from the caretakers & how the property is looked after & cared for. People take on the job via word of mouth when travelling around or from when they have visited. Current caretakers cannot leave until they have new people lined up to take over from them with a hand over. The couple we had in late March could answer all questions, lady did house & her husband did the additional tour which is Faye's mine next to the house, also worth a visit. The caretakers live in the house as their own but have to be up & ready with a clean house everyday to meet the tourists. Great idea if you want the experience of living in a very unusual town/environment. Staying in Coober Pedy for five nights was great as we met people who knew Faye & could give a more indepth insight into her work in her house, mine & around the town.

Worth a visit if you haven't seen a dugout, but not as impressive or interesting as Crocodile Harry's. If you have a guide Faye's story makes the trip worth it

A great experience and a fascinating history behind this underground house. The guide had the patience of a saint with the toddlers in the group.
Also happy to have our dog resting in the yard waiting.
