Right in the heart of Melbourne, close to Chinatown, theatres, restaurants, and with public transport at the front door.
All rooms have a kichenette (can be very handy) and are of an excellent size. Furniture is good quality, as is the bed. The rooms are in an excellent condition and very clean and also have all Fov television channels included.

Facilities at the hotel are very good with a "western" japanese restaurant & bar, gym, swimming pool etc.

Room Tip: Higher levels can afford good views. That floors above 16. Noise is not a problem on any level.

Stayed here on the 1st week of January 2012. was with wife and my beautiful daughter. The 3 of us have a great time in this beautiful establishments. it is good 10 minute walk to the Bourke St Mall and 3 min walk to Chinatown (unique food paradise). There is a good, cheap curry cafe fronting the hotel and Halal Nando's restaurant at the corner. The only setback i had is that the view of my room is the Stamford Plaza Hotel but it is just a minor ones. Logistic wise excellent as taxi stands at the front while the buses is plying the route of the hotel too.
Toilet is abit small but manageable. Kitchen utensil is top notch for simple cooking. Comfy sofas and small table. Wish that they would provide a bigger bed as I am a big man (6ft gentlemen) and queen bed is not suffices. Overall, I would return back here for the great online price (please browse thru their websites for better deals) and location.

I stayed here for work during the week and was given a room on the top floor (25). I'm not sure if it was this location that caused the trouble but reception on my mobile and pocket wi-fi was really poor making it difficult to work in the room (without paying for their wi-fi). The view was fantastic though! The apartment was small (for Australian standards at least) but nicely appointed and the beds were really comfortable. I only ever dealt with reception on check in and out but this was friendly and efficient. The entrance and connecting spaces are strange and the orientation is awkward but this is easy to overlook. I would only ever stay here for work. There isn't any real sense of comfort or pleasure, just clean functionality with mildly edgy design features, which on this occasion was sufficient.

Room Tip: I would try to find out if a lower floor would improve connectivity to mobile & personal wi-fi networks.

The hotel is very close to restaurants bars and trams. Walking distance to museums and shopping areas. The service staff were able to help us with car hire and parking, restaurants etc. The did not read the wot if book that I made that requested a nice clean bath..the room had no bath at all. The room was very spacious and there was plenty of room.
We had trouble with our phone reception inside the room - with Telstra.. unsure if it was great value for money but we were happy with it. The lifts were always very quick too.

Room Tip: Dont select the rooms below level 7 ish..We were on level 3 and did not get a good view or bath..
