Located in the MCG this museum has much to see. Cricket, Olympic Games, AFL, and horse racing all figure in the displays. It would be worth while spending a couple of hours here and if combined with the MCG tour it is a very good half day excursion. There is a nice cafe on the site (Paddock cafe) and you can sit outside overlooking the magnificent MCG ground.

Absolutely fantastic. Did a combined tour of the MCG which added to the experience and worthwhile even if you attend games regularly

A well managed museum with lots of interactive exhibits. I like the holographic display of Shane Warne, and the area where you can play different sports. I'm mainly into Cricket and Tennis, but the AFL sections and Olympics sections were also pretty interesting. It's amazing to see how a country takes sports so seriously.

Combined with the MCG tour, we spent a few hours wandering around the museum experiencing the Victorian obsession with sport. Wonderful exhibits for many sports and worth seeing even if you aren’t interested in that particular sport. A wide range of artefacts are on show, including a great section showing various items linked to the Olympics, including torches from a number of previous games. We loved the interactive section where you can test your ability too. Then we embarked on the 1.5 hours MCG tour - thoroughly enjoyed that especially the commentary from our guide, Michael. Definitely worth the time to spend in both the museum and behind the scenes of the MCG...
