Stay was Ok

The room was very small and it is a rabbit warren to walk around. The last time we stayed in Melbourne was at the Travelodge Southbank. I would return to the Travelodge due to the costs and space. The Victorian is in a great location.

Thank you for your feedback. The hotel is going through some extensive renovations and we are happy to announce that over 60% of the hotel is now fully renovated. This includes brand new bathrooms, fittings, fixtures and furnishing as well as flat screen TV and ducted air conditioning. These new rooms are called Heritage Rooms and are available to be booked now. The corridors are being updated as the rooms are being renovated but as we are sure you will understand, the building is 130 years old and we cannot change the layout too much. not too good an experience

Good location, reasonable price. service average.
room quality bad, the whole place feels errie, and smells of cigarette.
stayed only 1 night, will not be back.
But they are undergoing renovation, hopefully the condition will improve

The lobby has now been completely renovated and these changes included an enormous exotic fish tank, which really does stand out. Thank you again for your comment

Great Location!

We stayed at this hotel in May and we were surprised at the quality for the price and the best location for shopping, transport and restaurants.
It has a great bar area to meet friends and relax before going out and the heritage rooms are fantastic value.

Room tip: The heritage rooms are worth the extra.

Excellent, we'll be back again

This is the second time we have stayed at the Victoria Hotel. Both times were mid-week. Rooms had been renovated since our last visit and were a real surprise. Excellent fitiings and fixtures and really comfortable beds. This hotel is in a great location, very reasonably priced. It is very quiet and the family enjoyed the breakfast downstairs.
