Very nice location, in the centre of melbourne. its clean and confi, kitchen is very big and theres pancakes for free for breakfast. in the eve big party downstairs!check in is a little bit difficult if youre not used to handle good with technology (for me was no problem), because you have to enter all your infos on the tablet (and took pic of passport and yourself). with all your luggage its a little bit annoying but its alright. would def recommend

Very nice staff who offer great service, excellent location, great facilities, very cool and nice atmosphere. Really apprecieted how they organize different activities each day to have the guessts entretained, help them bond and have fun. Over all, very fun and cool place to stay at.

Positives
• Location right next to Flinders station and all the shops/sights, perfect for if your just arriving to Melbourne
• Nice chill out room and bar area with plenty of activities going on if you want to socialise
• Free pancakes every morning and good kitchen area.
• Rooms were fairly large and spacious

Negatives
• Staff - most interactions we found the staff to be a bit rude and dismissive and not all that helpful. If you're coming to Melbourne to get advice on how to find work or want to know more about the city then here's not your place. The staff are always in a rush to check people in and out!
• Extremely hot rooms that are clammy and sweaty/smelly people don't follow the advice about keeping the room cool so it's always hot and stuffy! Fire doors mean there's little ventilation.
• Unisex toilets were gross and smelt of stale wee. Wasn't sure if these were cleaned very frequently as they always smelt bad and had mess all over the floor.
• Unclean room - my bedsheets smelt stale which I did change with the help of a lovely girl who was helpful! Although when I arrived there was a dirty plaster stuck to the top of my bed and underneath the bed was a state!
• also every person in the hostel seems to be video calling their friends and family until like 1am in the lobby area which isn't great when you're sleeping in the rooms adjacent to it! Maybe they should call them in the stairwell or chill out room, not right next to where people are sleeping!

Overall the place was okay but left a lot to be desired, can't say I had a great stay here, I wouldn't come again!

Went here two or three years ago and had a fantastic time! Went back recently and was very disappointed.
The amenities very worn out, dirty and the hostel had become full with more 'long-term' travelers (Brits and Euro's staying weeks on end looking for work) than short term adventurers, which seems to have made the dorms quite clique-y around short term travelers stopping for a few days. This also meant that the dorms were very messy with suitcases, backpacks, bags, towels, toiletries, laundry etc - as getting the occupants to use their lockers under their bunks was not enforced... at all - scattered all around the room so when you got up to use the loo in the middle of the night you ended up tripping over twenty thousand things (and god forbid you forget to wear your flip-flops when you use the toilets after 12am!).
On a flip-side, the hostel still had great activities (tours etc), the staff were friendly and knowledgeable, the shared kitchen was clean and tidy and the hostel bar, though not entirely cheap as you'd like, hosted great nightly events.

Just Great. The atmosphere was really nice. They have a bar where there are games every night. The showers are super clean. There are nice pancakes in the morning, but the row is really long. Nice rooms, wit everything you want.
