A great afternoon spent looking through Captain Cooks cottage, the Fairy tree the miniature Tudor Villagge. The beautiful ponds and water features make this a lovely afternoon with children. Can also recommend the Pacvilion a confortable place for coffee and lunch

The garden is tidy.

Melbourne city area does have a rich assorted variety of plants. Even supposedly national flower of Malaysia (Hibiscus) grows much bigger here in Melbourne.

We were impressed with the beautiful gardens , especially the huge trees. We were not so impressed with the cafe.

The variety of gardens around the city are astounding. All well kept and within walking distance of the CBD they are open spaces which provide respite from the madness of the busy CBD and shelter amongst the well established trees creates a calm atmosphere. Well worth spending time meandering through the beautiful walks.

One of the things that impressed me the most about Melbourne was its cleanliness for a major city and the huge amount of planned greenspace. Much of that greenspace is specific gardens of various sizes and themes. Free for the enjoyment of residents and visitors, the variety, beauty and abundance of Melbourne's gardens is a model for any city that cares about the quality of life as much as the prosperity of the city.
