Perfect sitting on the sunny balcony. Yammy caramel walnut slice and good coffee. The place to be and watch the Gisborne streetlife.

Could not find a fault! Food was delicious...coffee perfect...staff were chatty and friendly...highly recommend. The Palm trees are beautiful.

Very good service and standard cafe fare. The staff could do their banal chatter in the open kitchen a little more quietly, though. I like the outside seating on the verandah.

Hi Rose B - Thanks for your comments. Agree the girls do get a bit chatty, so thank you for bringing that up. I'll remind them to tone it down a bit.
Kind regards

This cafe was above a great old school bookstore - you don't see many like it nowadays. The atmosphere & displays made you want to settle into the reading nook.
We were here for breakfast, the coffee was good but not fantastic. The food options were very limited for breakfast - no sweet muffins :-( Lunch options looked appealing and varied.

Hi MJGx2 - glad you enjoyed your visit. No we don't offer breakfast as our kitchen is too limiting. We are a morning tea/lunch café only, sorry about that.

I have eaten here before. It was initially a surprise to find a café inside a book shop.
The food was very nice and the staff were very friendly. Nice place for a quick lunch.
