Very convenient location with friendly staff. Great having breakfast included. Carparking was a bit tight but was only a minor issue. Room was clean and roomy enough. Right in the centre of town and close to beach and Napier Hill for walks.

My partner and I loved this hotel so much we chose to stay an extra night. Reception, restaurant and housekeeping staff were all lovely. THE BED WAS AMAZING! A rare find indeed. Great location. Great price.

Just had one night here on a business trip. Great location, although not sea front, but in great area for shopping, good value for money with breakfast included.
Located on a corner with park across road, saturday morning market located in park, lots of people out and about buying produce and coffee.

We enjoyed our stay here. It was cost effective and comfortable, the staff friendly and complimentary breakfast basic but nice. The location is an easy walk to the shops and beach and the room clean and comfortable. Definitely not a five star hotel but for the price, we will stay here again.

Myself and my partner had a two night stay in Napier and really enjoyed being within a five minute walk to the centre by staying at Expressotel.

The hotel has limited guest parking, which is well advertised upon booking, so we got there early which allowed us to park for the weekend.

The hotel offers breakfast included which is a real bonus and uncommon in New Zealand.

All the staff at the hotel were all very helpful and very nice people.

However, upon arrival we were told to go up the lift to the first floor to get to our room. We did so and the doors would not open once we got to the first floor. This was not the greatest of first impressions and the lift proceeded to break down a further three or four times during our stay (we used the stairs after our first experience!) this says to me that the lift is in dire need of an upgrade.

The room itself was nice, spacious and the bed super comfy. Nothing too flashy but nothing wrong with it either. Tea and coffee supplied too. My only complaint about our room, (102) which I believe was designed for disabled access, was that the wardrobe was directly in front of the bed and the television more over to the right hand side. It meant it more annoying for the guest laying on the left hand side of the bed.

Overall, other than the lift, there is nothing overtly wrong with Expressotel being in a great location and a nice comfy bed but I just left a little underwhelmed after our experience in the lift and the peculiar layout of the room.

Despite this I would stay there again.
