We stayed three nights at this location with the delightful owners Brin and Biddy, wonderful hosts and they invited us out to dine with them at a local restaurant.A very social evening. The studio accomadation was spotless and well equipped. The property had direct frontage to the beach.Wifi was free and left supplies for breakfast which was to a high standard, laundry facilities were available. We would definitely recommend this property

I booked Absolute Beachfront Bed & Breakfast because of its location next to the beach and also not being too far from the centre of Napier, what I wasn’t expecting was the warmth and generosity from the hosts Brin and Biddy. We were in touch with Brin through the booking.com messaging service before we arrived to arrange arrival times etc.

We had a warm welcome from Brin and Biddy and their dogs once we arrived and we were shown around the house and also the Deluxe Sudio where we would be based for 2 nights. It was self contained and very spacious with comfortable bed, bean bags and other nooks for chilling out, outdoor seating but unfortunately we were unable to use because of the foul weather. There was a small kitchen with everything needed for our stay, a hamper was provided which contained a selection of breakfast items. There was a TV with Netflix, also there was wifi so were able to use the internet. The shower was powerful and there was a small selection of toiletries provided.

Brin and Biddy were wonderful hosts and made us feel so welcome, one morning we had breakfast on the beachfront terrace with them and the other guests who were staying at the property, they had some very interesting stories and made all their guests feel comfortable and made sure their stays were memorable. Brin took photos of us before we left and sent them to us as mementos of our stay there. Absolute Beachfront is a very unique and enjoyable place to stay made even better by the kindness of Brin and Biddy.

What a lovely B&B, run by Binny and Brin who do anything and everything to make their guests feel welcome. What's not to like, it's on the beach, you can borrow bikes, there's a hot tub, breakfast is terrific and the hosts just lovely.

In terms of amenities, everything is there and it's great value too.

Bin and Biddy could not have been more hospitable if they tried! The perfect hosts, whether it be over breakfast or by the fire on the seashore drinking a glass of wine. Great rooms, great location and the sound of the surf. A perfect location.

Hosts Brin and Biddy welcomed and treated us as if we were old friends and, after 2 nights, we wished we had planned to stay for 3 or 4! Although "out of town" (requiring a car or fitness for the bicycle ride - bicycles provided - to restaurants and city attractions), this property exudes opportunities for relaxation, which was just what we needed to "slow down" after a fortnight driving around many scenic highlights of beautiful New Zealand.

We chose (and highly recommend, even at the small additional cost) the "double room with the sea view" which actually turns out to be a suite with sitting room, a full-sized bathroom with spa bath, and a bedroom with floor to ceiling windows and direct access to a large deck, a luxuriating hot tub and a walk along the beach. Sleep with the curtains open to enjoy - weather permitting (and we were lucky!) - majestic sunrises and a spectacular view of stars in the night sky and, if it's not too cold, also open the sliding door to hear the waves splashing on the pebbled beach.

As for the included breakfasts, "WOW!" Abundant fresh fruits, yoghurts, cereals, fruit toast, croissants - you will be totally set up for an enjoyable day ahead, particularly if the weather allows (as it fortunately did for us) that you can eat on the deck warmed by the morning sun.

Be aware that Absolute Beachfront B&B is not a place where you can walk to a cafe or shops – you need to use your car (or the bikes) wherever you are going, but the location is “absolute relaxation” if you don’t consider that a drawback. A short drive will take you to the many eateries in the rejuvenated wharf area - West Quay, Ahuriri - where, for informality, menu variety and reasonable pricing, we can highly recommend drinks (great range of craft beers) and dinner at "Shed 2" Restaurant and Bar, or a few minutes further to a wide range of restaurants in the Napier CBD.

We could not fault this B&B in any way. Biddy and Brin are so genuinely friendly and committed to ensuring the enjoyment of their guests that we can only give them "top marks" for their professionalism as B&B hosts and their "likeability" as people to be with. We hope to enjoy their hospitality again in a future visit to NZ.
