We chose the Millennium for it's location, inclusive breakfast, pool and adjacent spa - and it didn't disappoint. All the staff we encountered were pleasant and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, although only geared up for 2 people (mugs, glasses, towels etc) even though we booked a room big enough for 4 and 3 of us were booked in. Breakfast included a large range of cereals, fruit and fruit juice, toast and croissants as well as bacon, sausages, scrambled, poached and fried eggs, creamy mushroom, beans etc. and the staff kept replenishing the supplies right up until the end of breakfast so noone missed out. The restaurant was beside the pool and was spacious. The hotel also has a restaurant for dinner as well as a bar, but we didn't sample these. Parking is limited onsite but there is ample free parking all around the hotel. Free wifi was available in our room for up to 3 devices. We also found the spa to be very good, although our 3 pamper packages seemed to vary depending on our therapist. I would book again - although not in school holidays as it seems some parents allow their children to run and shout past peoples rooms very early in the morning!

Room Tip: We had a lake view and enjoyed it

Thank you bonbaffy for taking the time to post your review. I'm pleased overall you enjoyed your stay with us.
Your comments regarding school holidays is noted! We find most families, including the children, are very courteous of others quiet enjoyment of the hotel. Unfortunately it seems just one group that create enough noise for everyone!
Pleased you enjoyed your time at our Dayspa. I will follow up with the team with regard the consistency between therapists.
Once again thank you for your feedback.
Ngā mihi

Great place to stay with our young family. Close to all amenities and services to store mountain bikes was very helpful as we had 4 bikes to store. The kids enjoyed the swimming pool and spa pool and the breakfast was satisfying.

Was ok in terms of distance to Polynesian spas and the central areas but ...
Dated everywhere and tired looking- except for lobby
Room had a drafty window and is single glazed so was noisy and cold in the room.
Shower was maybe the worst ever as the water constantly went from normal temperature to hot then cold ( all over the place) . Was unsafe as it would be burning hot all of a sudd n then back to normal.
Wouldn’t recommend, wouldn’t stay again.

We have stayed at the Rotorua Millennium more than a dozen times over the years. It was our go to place for a nice mid-winter break when our kids were younger. They loved the indoor pool and we enjoyed the spa baths right next door or sitting under the heaters with a good book. The hotel staff are all very helpful and friendly. The hotel is getting a little dated and some bits tired, but overall is well maintained and very neat. Lake View rooms are the best for great views and a balcony for afternoon drinks. There are adjoining room options if needed. The room service menu seems to be a bit average now, but there’s plenty good food within easy walking distance from the hotel. The government gardens and lake front walks are on your doorstep. We’ve found the staff and treatments at the in hotel spa to be better prices, more relaxing and with friendlier staff than Polynesian pools across the road. There’s plenty parking around the hotel.
