Wonderful facilities and gorgeous location. My family and I have holidayed here for over 10 years. However, our last two recent stays, the manners of some of the staff at Ramada Resort is to be desired, as more than once my family and I have encountered unpleasant dialogue.

Thank you for your feedback, if you are able to contact us to discuss the staffing issue in more detail that would be appreciated so that we may address this on a management level. We look forward to seeing you again in the future.

Lovely townhouse with everything our family needed for an enjoyable stay. Set on a little inlet coming off the main lake we had fantastic views of the water. The kids loved watching the inquisitive swans & fly fishermen from our balcony. It was 15mins drive to rotorua so only really good if you have a car but the location was quiet and peaceful away from the hustle and bustle of the city with amazing views of the lake & mountains. There was a restaurant, pool & spa which we didn’t use but looked lovely. The townhouse was warm & comfortable. We would definitely stay again & highly recommend for families.

The units are very nice, clean and well maintained, the staff friendly and helpful. We stayed in a two bedroom with all the comforts of home, you couldn't fault it. The only problem.....our internet ran out and reception was closed. we tried to call the emergency number but were not successful. Like others have said, you definitely need a car, there is not much you can do without one.

Stayed there for 6 nights in winter (July) it was very quiet but regardless a lovely place to stay.

The lake and surrounds are beautiful, it is 20 minutes drive to Rotorua city and the drive at night is very windy and dark, just a heads up but nothing on the resort!

All the facilities are great - tennis court, spa, gym, pool, restaurant. The restaurant is only open 6-9pm and is very busy from people not staying in the resort, it has a breakfast menu but only on weekends.

Hard to get a table but worth it. They have plenty of games and balls to use so the place is great for kids and families, however they have badminton equipment but no court to use it on. The local shops (a burger truck, ‘dairy’ convenience store and a chicken and chip shop) are also good if you don’t feel like heading into town for food.

The rooms are lovely, clean, lots of natural light, kitchen has full cooking equipment, bathroom has washer, dryer, heated towel racks, lots of extra blankets and heaters which is good in winter. Anyone wondering about the smell because it is out of town the smell is not as bad, if at all. Air smelt great to us.

Thanks Ramada Resort.

Very friendly and helpful staff.
The location is great but some would find it a bit isolated.A car is recommended for transport and travelling around the region.
Local tours for the countryside are quite interesting and spectacular specially the hot water springs and shooting Geysers! I recommend booking few of them.
I would specially recommend to see a Maori concert and enjoy a Maori dinner.
Overall, very beautiful country and kind friendly people.

Room Tip: As the location is about 20klm out of town a car is recommended.
