We had a quick walk around one very cold day. Found warmth in the cafe in front of the fire. Great coffees and lovely friendly staff.

This a wonderful park with so much to see. Bridges, a waterwheel, fountain and a wonderful fernery all to be found while wandering the gargen. Easy walking right in the middle of town. Well worth a visit even in winter

This has to be my favourite park, I love the different lakes and the little bridges over them. There are so many varied walks around the place that you never seem to do the same one every day.

Right in the city. Absolutely beautiful. Summer time has festival of lights, so trees have all different coloured lights on them, there is entertainment every night of the week and it is FREE. This is in the month of January.
Row boats operate and you can take a romantic row in the evening, the boats have lanterns at the back of them it is just magical. Tea kiosk is there. Playground for children. There is also a ride on cart that can take you around for a full view of the park. Free movies also show in the evening during January.
Various activities held in the month of January for all ages.

Beautiful park to visit at anytime.
Concerts held in the sound shelter in summer.

Amazing trees, waterfall and lake fountain.

A haven practically in the middle of town. Summer evenings catch the lights and free entertainment. One of the worlds most picturesque cricket venues and the children's play area is a good place for the kids to relax. Aphoto of Mount Taranaki from Poet's bridge is a must.
