It has still got the damn heavy front door, dark decor including the loos, but the bright keen staff and interesting food are the focus, Large open area but tables & booths don't make it feel that way, tucked in a booth its very cosy. The outdoor enclosed balcony will be buzzing come the warmer weather. Serving American style large pizzas along side a variety of other dishes, it has both family and adult appeal. Surprised at how busy on a Monday night, realised school holiday groups add to the mix. Ordered the carpaccio which was salmon, very tasty and enjoyed the glass jar and lid version of tiramisu. Musicians were setting up, but not to start till later and wee were early diners, the piped music had been vibing away with an eclectic mix, just like the music poster collection decorating the walls. The pizza was very tasty, with a firm but enjoyable base - the test of a good pizza chef. All of our choices were slightly high on the salt taste, but not excessive - a tactic to drive drinks sales maybe ??? as they were being regularly offered. Overall, impressed, it was busy and happy, a pinball machine providing entertainment for the teenages. Look forward to an evening in the setting sun, over another pizza.
