We visited The Permit Room last night for dinner…hands down the best butter chicken we’ve had! And the parotta bread was perfect alongside it. Excellent service, will be back for more next time we are in town!

The Resturant is in a heritage building next to Convention Centre. Very convenient and walking distance to the CBD. The ambience is very soothing. Staff are extremely knowledgeable about the dishes and very helpful in deciding your choice. The Chettinad Lamb was very tasty and prepared with all the authentic spices for which it is famous. We had fried chicken as starter and for mains we had Chettinad Lamb curry and Fish curry which tasted good. Mr Basu is a great host.

Fantastic service accompanied with fresh & flavorsome food. we came from wellington on Monday night with family. Every dish was delicious! Definitely worth visit if you enjoy tasty food! All the food served in different utensils. Fried Chicken was Awesome. Manager Vishnu was really a good Host as he shares his experience of different food of India. He also describe how his restaurant is different from other Indian Restaurant. Chefs prepares the food in front of Guest. Recommended to everyone.

A great restaurant in the centre of Christchurch. Great plates and an amazing spiced beer! And the bossanova themed covers of classic songs is a quirky twist which makes the evening.
