We arrived quite late in the day, in the winter, but were still heartily welcomed even though we interrupted ‘vineyard maintenance’ tasks. The wine was rewarding, especially the Chardonnay - not always my white of choice but the 2017 is particularly good. The winery is very pretty and a lovely experience all round.

Thank you Kim for your delightful review of our cellar door and wines. We're so pleased you enjoyed it and are glad you stopped in. We're always happy to receive visitors at our cellar door and share with them what we do. We're very hands-on in the vineyard and there's always something that needs doing but it's also a great opportunity to demonstrate the particulars of vineyard management to our guests and how they affect results.

All the best,
Rowlee Wines

Great little winery in Orange. Given our own tasting in their lovely cellar door. Met the dogs and tasted their wines.

The wines were very much to our taste. The lady who took the tasting was knowledgeable, generous with her time and gave fantastic recommendations for other wineries and restaurants. Very good experience.

It would be good if there was a regional platter to nibble on whilst sitting on their deck overlooking their vines.

Thanks for taking the time to review your experience, we're glad you had a lovely time and enjoyed the wines.

At Rowlee we like to keep our focus on the wines and the tasting, however we do offer lunch in the vines when organised in advance, and on occasion we offer cheese and wine flights. Next time you are in the area, please get in touch, we would be more than happy to arrange something for you.

Warm regards,
Rowlee Wines

My wife and I stopped in at Rowlee recently because we had heard good things from our friends. Sometimes other people's reccomendations can be hit or miss, but this time they were spot on.
We got to try some of their new release wines and they were great. I got into a bottle of their Chardonnay last night and it was even better than I remembered it at the cellar door.

We're so glad you enjoyed our wines on your recent visit to the cellar door and thanks for taking the time to review us on TripAdvisor. It's wonderful to hear you enjoyed the Chardonnay even more when you took it home. Remember, as we only make a limited amount of our wines, if you're keen to keep drinking it in the future the best way to ensure you don't miss out is by joining our wine club, it also gets you 15% off.

Warm regards,
Rowlee Wines

2 of us popped in for a tasting. I appreciate the tasting fee that wineries charge and then is waived on purchase. Out of the 6 wines on tasting, I said I would only try one (which I did) and my wife tried 3. So between the 2 of us, we didn't have a full tasting. When handing over a $20 note for tasting expecting $10 change back, nothing came back. I left somewhat bewildered and then went back in to at least buy a wine to make it better value. I figured the whole $20 would be deducted (again given I only tasted 1 wine) but initially only $10 was going to be deducted. To be fair when I politely voiced my concern, the whole $20 was waived on purchase of the $30 bottle of wine. OK in the end, but just seemed a little odd from the outset.

Thank you for your review and feedback on your experience at Rowlee. We apologise if there was any confusion with the tasting fee. We try and be very clear about the $10 tasting fee that is charged to customer’s that want to taste the wines. The fee is per person and is redeemable upon purchase, however if wine is not purchased the $10 is charged.

Warm regards

Rowlee has excellent wines and conveniently located on cargo Rd close to town and easy to find. James and Nicole are passionate about their vineyard and are wonderful hosts. Their cellar door is relaxed authentic and impressive with top quality Nebbiolo, Pinot & Chardonnays. We were fortunate to stay in their newly renovated .. luxurious .. self contained cottage surrounded by gardens and steps away from the vines. They recommended a great spot for lunch, helped us plan our afternoon visiting quality vineyards, meeting local characters with a wealth of knowledge. Magic weekend away.
