What can I say. We searched hard before we booked and we were not disappointed. The views are amazing and the apartment was stunning. The bbq and pool were great. We were there for the commonwealth games and the bus stop was just outside.
The only issue for me was no direct access to the pool you had to walk around the building.
We will return.

Staying at San Simeon beachside appartments with friends for the Easter weekend and its definitely a lovely location but the Unit so very very disappointing
We booked a 2 bedroom superior appartment and added in the request pls higher floors then we arrived Thursday 3 ish in the afternoon to find we were right next door to my friend to my surprised as she had booked a 2bed but not superior so there i was thinking we will get something a bit higher floors and some how more spruced up as in SUPERIOR
The reception lady greeted me with oven Knob in her hand with appologies that was not a good start, then I realised Our superior appt was in the 2 floor out of 5 anyway decided will enjoy our holidays anyway as we did anyway.
A notice though Unit 20 is definitely in need of help Oven and Hood are in very bad shape
My neighbor and friends next door NOT superior is a much better unit incl the bedrooms are both on the sea side while mine had the 2bed right by the road so please can someone tell WHY WAS UNIT 20 A SUPERIOR 2BED WHICH IS NOT

Hi Dita
Thank you for taking the time to review your stay. Constructive feedback allows us to address and remedy our guests concerns. We are sorry your overall impression of the unit was not favourable due to the broken oven knob and tilting of the rangehood but hoped you enjoyed our unique location of absolute beachfront. We always try and accommodate guest requests however when you make a booking apartment allocation is dependent on availability at the time. You were located on Level 2 which has a lovely view of the ocean and our superior rooms are all on different levels throughout the resort. Our apartments also have different layouts and if you have a specific requirement you can call us. It was unfortunate that the oven knob had broken and rangehood was tilting however as it was the Easter weekend we were fully booked and we were unable to move you. We also were not able to get a replacement knob being a holiday weekend and I had mentioned to you that the oven could still be used. The unit you were in is a superior unit and has been refurbished and we have return guests who request this apartment.

Us 3 Stayed in Unit 22 on Level 2. Just magnifisent .Really enjoyed our stay there for 10 Days with the Kids. They meet other Kids at the Pool everyday & we saw the Whales every Day. Late in the afternoon you could see the sun on their Tales as they came up. We found it really handy being down that end of the GC for once. Its still not far to the Theme Parks etc if you have a Car. Lovely View. Really friendly Lady Manager. Very Helpful. Lots to do at Tweed Heads etc. Handy to the Airport. You only heard the Planes really if you were at the Pool. Didn't worry us at all. Will Def. Go Back.

Beautiful position right on tugun beach on the gold coast. On arrival the property looks great. Pool, spa, bbq and common areas are clean, well layed out and nice. I opened the door to the apartment and the first thing I saw was the view - beautiful, and you certainly can't beat the sound of the ocean. I then looked at the apartment. It looked like an explosion of furniture from the op shop with a few modern, but dusty lamps. There was a cigarette butt on the verandah, stains on the verandah table, toothpaste on the bathroom tiles and what looked like black dog hair on the bathroom floor (I'm blonde). I did a bit of cleaning. The ensuite bathroom is old and tired. There is nowhere to hang handtowels or floor towels. A hook behind the door wouldn't hurt. The step into the shower is dangerous and if they can't afford to replace the toilet roll holder or do a few repairs? The bed is so hard that my back would ache. I slept on the lounge some nights - not acceptable. I was going to pull out the sofa bed but it was so dusty under there. I know that each apartment probably has a different owner. But I would hope that I was just unlucky and that other apartments in the complex are better furnished and maintained. You can take pot luck or be specific about what you want when you book.

We have just completed our eighth holiday at San Simeon over the last twenty years, It has been our preferred destination because of its beachfront position with view of Pacific Ocean in all its moods and access for uninterrupted beach walk to Currumbin to the north and Coolangatta to the South, While the rest of the coast has been over commercialized , this strip has retained the quieter pace and tranquillity you seek on a holiday with easy access to the various worlds in the north and the glitzy attractions in Surfers Paradise. The local car hire firms offer great deals without all the hidden overheads of larger chains. The Tugun shopping strip provides all your needs but if you want access to larger shopping centre , Elanora Pines is only 10 minutes away. San Simeon provides facilities for all age groups and if you decide to avoid a car , there is a bus stop outside that operate at regular intervals to take you south or north.

Room Tip: Rooms that face directly east have less noise and best view of sunrise and whale watching as well as quieter
