Hubby and I with our 10 month old baby stayed here for a night in the 3 bedroom jacuzzi suite. Plenty of room for Bub to explore. Didn't really need to child proof very much for the crawling baby as everything was so well organized. Beds were soooo comfortable! jacuzzi... don't get me started - LOVE LOVE LOVED IT!! nice and quiet and so handy to everything! park down the street, coles, kmart etc around the corner. Seriously everything was within a 5 minute walk. Which is very handy especially when traveling with children. Even had mini golf and a children's play center within 2 minute walk. Everything was top notch, not cheap furnishing and kitchen had everything you need. Safe parking around the back also. Ground coffee for the plunger was provided along with some teas, very very nice quality.

I could go on and on. I was very surprised and delighted at what a gem this place is. We come to Launceston regularly and have never found anything close to this.

On a side note... on checkout, my bub was having a nap and was coming close to 10am - checkout time. I really needed him to have a good nap as we had a big day of traveling ahead of us. So i took a punt and called the owner/reception and asked would it be possible to stretch check out to 10:30. She not only said it wasn't a problem but said we could take our time and check out at any point during the day as she didn't have any one booked into that suite for that night. How good is that! we checked out at about 12pm. Gave us ample time to get packed... even squeezed in a quick dip in the jacuzzi before we went ;) lol made it such a relaxed stay and didn't feel so rushed when leaving, can be quite stressful especially when traveling with children, But not this time! :)

Thanks so much for a lovely stay! i usually don't write reviews but in between good value, how fantastic the place was, perfect location and not to mention the hospitality of the owner. I was blown away. My hubby even told me not to forget to write the review as he wanted to convey how impressed he was also.... which is huge coming from him - him being American.. he is fussy lol

Room Tip: We stayed in room 2, divine!

This is the second time I've stayed at the Lido, and I'll definitely be back. I love its location, its art deco style decoration, the spaciousness of the one bedroom apartment and the terrific staff. I spent seven nights at the Lido on this trip, and it really felt like a home away from home. A full stove, microwave and a decent sized-fridge and freezer made food preparation easy, and the combination washer-dryer was a boon.

We found it difficult to find nice accommodation in Launceston for the dates/price available to us. However, the Lido was available & having a spacious apartment was great as we were travelling with two small children. If you are after something modern, then this isn't for you...apartment building is oldish & decorated tastefully in art deco style. Lovely electric log fire was a nice touch on the cold night of our stay. Also right near City Park (with monkey enclosure) which our kids absolutely LOVED. Only negatives -some traffic noise in early morning & possibly an updated bathroom would be nice. Kellie was very helpful with the booking process & also made the effort to come down to the apartments at 10pm on a Sunday night to fix an issue with our bedding configuration.

Whilst used for work trips mostly this was a couples retreat for a weekend. The Lido is spacious, spotless, well appointed, well priced and in a good central location.

Don't expect a sparkly modern joint, this is a slightly retro art deco establishment.

The three bedroom apartment is massive.

Kellie is friendly and accommodating which adds to the overall excellence of the Lido.

Highly recommended for families, business and couples.

The Lido is excellent value for money, as well as being centrally located and clean. We stayed in a ground floor apartment which was very convenient. We would definitely stay here again next time we travel to "Lonnie".

Room Tip: Ground floor apartments are best if you have lots of luggage as I am not sure if there is a lift in the building.
