When Neil Young wrote Love Is A Rose in 1974 he could have been composing with the Glynlea Motel in mind. Especially the Red Room on the left hand end. What a great little find. It's as if you have been transported lock, stock and Melbourne hipster imagination to a time when things were less angry and less transactional.
This is not your average highway motel. The sense of place is extraordinary. What a corker. Don't let the external landscape fool you. Once you are inside life will never be the same again.
