A relaxing retreat amidst beautiful beaches and wineries.

We enjoyed 5 nights at Acacic Chalets over the Christmas period. The chalet was spacious, modern and very well equipped. The timber decking with a BBQ allowed for several relaxing evenings under the stars.
The location is also perfect - being only a 10 minute drive from Prevelly beach and within 10 minutes drive of several great wineries (Cape Mentelle, Xanadu, Voyager).

The only downside of staying outside of Margaret River town was the lack of mobile reception (Vodafone) and slow internet speeds. But for some that may be a good thing - if you want to tune out from the world.

All in all a memorable stay and highly recommended.

We just spent 8 fantastic days at Margaret River, staying at this amazing chalet which I fully recommend.

Acacia is located at a rather quiet spot, away from major roads. Thanks to the very detailed and accurate driving instruction provided by the landlord, we had no problem locating it with our GPS.

It takes less than 10 mins' drive from Margaret River City Centre. If you are first time to the region, you might feel a bit too far away from the shops but actually it's perfectly acceptable as long as you have a car (which is a must anyway) and a GPS (very important if you are staying here).

We stayed at Chalet 2, which is a very spacious 2-bedroom, facing the wild woods. The chalet is clean and well appointed with very thoughtful details. Again, instructions on every single appliance inside the chalet were provided properly. Kitchen is sufficiently equipped, though we believe a small rice cooker would be a valuable add. Bathrooms very clean and a washer sufficient for us. No dryer provided nor required as laundry got dried overnight simply by hanging them in the bathroom. Outdoor grill provided which is a nice supplement to the kitchen.

The house is bright, airy and private. Kangaroos, hares, and parrots visit the deck on a daily basis. The kids love them!!! One of the most amazing thing about this chalet is that, there is NO FLIES even for summer! We were kinda shocked by the swarmping flies in beaches and other spots in the area.

Lauren, the landlord, is extremely helpful and yet keeps a very courteous distance to allow for privacy. Truly appreciate her hospitality and professionalism. Would recommend it to anyone who look for a quality self-cater rental in this area.

Room Tip: Chalet 2 is best in privacy as the deck looks out to the wild woods. Chalet 3 has 3 bedrooms.

Five of us stayed for two nights in the three bedroom chalet which was fantastic. Beautifully maintained and decorated, in beautiful grounds, with nightly visits from the local kangaroos. I highly recommend this chalet. We all wish we were staying there longer. We explored the Margaret River wine region, and beaches, all very closely nearby.

We booked to stay for 4 nights in the spa chalet in November. The place was furnished just as the pictures displayed. Clean and well furnished in a tranquil environment. We even had a few kangaroos for a visit in the backyard by the BBQ.

Unfortunately for us, our stay was cut short due to the devastating fire in the Margaret River region and we had to evacuate! Throughout the day, the owner kept us informed about developing events, and eventually advised us to gather at the evacuation centre.

With no chance of accessing the chalet that night, we drove home back to Perth instead. 3 days on and still without access to our belongings left in the property, the owner managed to sneak back in and packed up everything for us. We were very thankful of her hospitality despite the circumstances and will definitely come back for another stay.

We have just spent three of the most wonderful days at Acacia Chalets. There was a party of seven people staying across two of the chalets. The Chalets are superbly located, spotlessly clean and the amenities are outstanding - even down to fresh coffee and plunger. Taking my 92 year old mother was always going to be a worry but she just fell in love with the place. It was easy for her to get around with handrails on the steps outside. She felt very comfortable and secure. The Chalets are modern with "attention to detail" being the one thing that struck us the most. Little things like air fresheners in the bathrooms, extra blankets, maps, well stocked kitchen, wifi, I could go on and on...... having travelled around the world on many occasions, we all agreed this was a wonderful place to stay and only five or six minutes from the town centre. It was peaceful and very relaxing and even a modern bbq was supplied so we didnt need to leave the chalets unless we chose to. Some of our party stayed in Augusta and were very jealous of our accommodation. Will definitely be back and my mother will be the first to put her hand up for the trip. Thanks to Lauren for being so hospitable.

Room Tip: Chalet 2 faces into the bush and is perfect for entertaining as it faces away from the other Chalets and is a little more private.
