So beautiful and tidy gardens. Nice walk ending in a beautiful waterfall. Very friendly staff and amazing coffee shop. Any cent spent worthed.

Certainly a lot of work and some variety has gone into these gardens. Much in the shade so a good place to wander even on a hot, sunny day. Waterfall not hugely spectacular with regards to height, but well worth the short walk to take in at close quarters.

Really loved the waterfalls. I think this is a good option for people wanting to experience some of the beautiful bush out here, without having to do a full on bush walk.
We really appreciated the thorough instructions and advice for what do in the area from the kind man on reception.
We spent about 45 mins doing both walks, a sit by one of the ponds, and also exploring the waterfalls a little.
Would recommend to those wanting to do something easy going and quaint.
Also just a few minutes drive from the square Kauri, which is also a relatively easy walk (short, though up hill)

Super location only 25kms from Thames-peaceful, beautiful, gorgeous with large gardens and a walking path to the waterfall. A true gem off the beaten path with wonderful hosts and everything you need if you choose a special stay in the cottage including scented oils!! Breakfast provisions included fresh eggs and plunger coffee. There's a lovely little cafe too with lots of yummy goodies!
