The Sunday Diner roast was dry and inedible I thought it had been left over from the lunch time,
Very basic vegetables, the desert was a joke,
Last time visited the place was three years ago, It’s gone down hill big time

if you like really good basis food at an excellent price you can't go past this place, built into a sports/RSA bar it is worth the visit and at times has some very good entertainment avialble in other areas of the club.the food consitst of soup of the day, a salad bar, hot vegtables, roast meats, fish as well as a dessert bar. Tea and coffee. there is a bar for drinks and the staff are friendly and fantastic.

This buffet meal was surprisingly good. I expected a pub roast and dessert. There was soup if wanted, a very good choice of salads, and two roast meats with plenty of hot vegetables to choose from. The roast pork was delicious and I had to stop the server from loading up my plate with the meat. I avoided the crackling as I have expensive fillings but it looked delicious. Apple sauce was available too. The cold desserts were ok but more of a pub level. I didn't try the hot dessert as I make that at home but it looked the only "home" cooked dessert. At $26 dollars/per person it was good value and I would go again if in Nelson.

This was a lovely surprise as I was expecting a pretty typical pub meal. The choice of salads was eight, all delicious and fresh. Crumbed fish was light and tasty. The roast pork and beef was so tender and the veg was perfectly crisp on the outside with a soft centre. The desserts were a selection of pastries,Lamingtons, cheesecake, pavlova and a Berry crumble. You will not go hungry! The decor is of quite a high standard making it a lovely night out. Best you book as it's certainly busy in the weekend. Oh and price is $26.00 pp

for $25 all you can eat dinner and desert buffet, worth every $. The atmosphere is lovely and a good selection of food cooked perfectly is on offer. The drinks are very cheap compared to other restaurants. The wait staff are lovely and you can eat till you can't possibly stuff anymore. There is a deal going at the moment where you can buy a $25 membership for the club (way cheaper than normal) and get a free meal in the restaurant. Great deal. Highly recommend.
