We (2 adults and 3 children 10, 9 & 7) stayed in a family room at Knotts Crossing Resort in July 2017 for two nights while we spent some time in and around Katherine Gorge. The family room is a good size compared to some of the other places we stayed in on the way up from Uluru, and the bathrooms are of a good standard. The kitchenette is well equipped – we didn’t cook any dinners but had no problem finding enough crockery and cutlery for breakfast and snacks.

We spent a bit of time in the pool area which has a few sun lounges and is big enough if there are only 1-2 families, but gets busy in the afternoon as people start arriving and checking in. The restaurant had some nice food including some local options (crocodile spring rolls and kangaroo steaks).

Overall this was good for budget accommodation and the best option we could find in Katherine.

We had 3 days at the Resort staying in a large motel room which was basic but clean, tidy but well appointed, staff did a great job from checking in through to the bar, they helped with bookings and gave great advice on travel conditions and places to visit. We went to the resort bar for dinner each night, the food and wine was very good and reasonably priced. This is a great place to base yourself visit the surrounding areas.

Room tip: We found staying for the Executive rooms was well worth the money.

Stayed in a village room with bunks with 2 adults and 2 kids.

OK value for what we paid - booked on Wotif as had lowest rate.

Rooms were basic but good enough - kids enjoyed the main pool.

Downside was restaurant was ridiculously expensive so we self catered... there are plenty of reasonably priced placed to eat close by so it was frustrating that the prices were so much - bit of a put off so we didn't go to the bar. It's a shame this jab for tourists $$s puts you off.

We'll be looking for a different stop off next time we are in Katherine.

Lovely Resort for caravans in this shady park. Each site has its own ensuite which are handy. Great pool, bar & restaurant here and only 5 mins from main street. Staff are very helpful and suggest various local activities.

Room tip: We stayed in the caravan sites but rooms looked nice

Having previously stayed in cabins on a previous visit , I decided to try the Executive Suite. These rooms are so very dark with internal brown brick walls. This resort is very much in original condition so be prepared for that. The bathroom had a chocolate brown bathtub with yellow tiles. Even the pool area is dated.

It wouldn't take much to upgrade the rooms into something aligned with the modern era, as there is a market for people willing to pay for a premium product. The executive suite is a far cry from a premium product but we did pay more for this room than we did at DoubleTree by Hilton in Darwin, and those rooms are modern with ocean views.

In regard to the executive suites, this is a basic dated place charging high prices.
