Not your usual pub fare in this popular Irish themed pub. Chef prepared with great care and attention to detail. Wait-staff were friendly and attentive. Very noisy and crowded though for us old people but the primarily younger patrons were enjoying themselves, and the great range of beers, on a Friday late-afternoon wind-down. One negative was the cigarette smoker entering the dining area. In Australia the new laws have segregated this minority much better than NZ. Otherwise a very nice experience.

We had our Christmas lunch here with a party of about twenty. The food was good, but nothing spectacular. I probably should have just stayed with the fish and chips as many people seemed to enjoy that. The stuffed Yorkshire Pudding looked really good, but the meat was quite chewy.
For having a large group, the service was still quite good. Meals came out of the kitchen grouped by dish, but with several minutes wait in between, so a lot of people waited for their lunch.
We were able to get the pensioners price, so lunch ended up being reasonably priced.

Celebrated my 10 year old's birthday with a dinner here on a busy Friday evening. We were allocated the wonderful private room complete with velvet curtains. Everybody's food was excellent - nobody had 'dinner envy'. And the kids meals coming out in a compartmentalised square black plate is genius - they loved it!! The waitresses were incredibly patient in dealing with 7 kids aged 2-10. Rave reviews from my whole family.

Had a Tuesday dinner with 3 other foodie friends in the heart of Botany Downs shopping complex. We picked the 3-course deal with all different dishes. For entrées, we had: garlic & chilli prawns, bacon wrapped scallops, deep-fried Parmessan crumbed buffalo mozzarella & crispy buffalo chicken salad; for mains - crispy skin pork belly, crispy skin pan-fried Tarakihi, roasted lamb rack & steak, eggs & chips; 3 desserts available, so we had 2 crêpes Suzette, warm peanut chocolate brownie & warm sticky date pudding. They were generally very good - good entrées; good size mains: steak was spot on & nice fish; good desserts.

Service definitely needs improvement - cheerful & friendly wait staff, but needs hands to clear up finished dishes, refill water, etc.

Nice dinner food here, pretty good service, shame about the dessert I asked for a takeaway orange craps with ice cream etc, when I got it home and opened it it spelt and tasted like it had curdled or something, but anyway would def go again just wouldn't get that dessert
