Club Coolum is under two hours from Brisbane and provides a wonderful escape from the daily grind. Removed from the traffic lights, road noise is minimal. The rooms are always clean and well appointed. The pool is well kept as are the grounds and staff are always willing to help. The main bedroom of a two room apartment always has an ensuite and the apartments are tastefully decorated. The kitchen has bench space and each apartment I’ve stayed in has had a large dining table suitable for entertaining. The gym is fine and cars are garaged securely. The Indian restaurant Bombay Bliss is on entry level and the food is delicious and eminently convenient.

I will continue to return because of the position, the facilities and the space it affords both physically and mentally. The photos were either taken on the balcony or from my pillow. Who wouldn’t want to wake up to the ocean?

When we got here and were given the keys to our unit, we promptly returned downstairs to ask why we were were given a north facing (non ocean-view) unit when we had specifically requested ocean views, the receptionist replied "oh you booked through an agent, you should have booked directly through us". For anyone planning to stay at this resort, all I would say is;
expect to pay a premium by booking directly through the resort, otherwise expect a let down on arrival!

Location was great, we will return to Coolum, but not this resort.

Room tip: Ocean views aren't guaranteed!

Family of 4 stayed in a two bedroom apartment for 5 nights. Well presented apartment, facilities are slightly aging, but did not detract from stay. Lovely outlook over Coolum Beach and close to all shops and facilities. Did report dryer not working, and was not attended to during our stay.
Great pool for the kids, and games room and gym were good.
Would stay again.

Room tip: Ocean views

My family & I recently had the pleasure of staying a week at this resort. Children aged 6 & 4. Upon entry we were very impressed with the quality of our apartment located on the 4th floor.

The unit itself was a modern two bedroom & two bathroom with spacious kitchen & family area. With a well equipped laundry. Lounge and both bedrooms had a ceiling fan and air con.

The view from the spacious balcony was spectacular (pic attached). Our apartment was to the side of the building.

The resort included a generous sized pool with spa. The gym was well equipped. Games room & tennis courts. Nice touches also with complimentary dvd hire. Also beach/pool equipment to borrow at no charge.

The beach literally located across the road with a patrolled area. Coles is located 1km from the resort along with Dan Murphy’s. Restaurants/Surf Club all within a short stroll. Local park was a hit with the kids.

Suggest hiring a car for this area so that you can explore Mount Coolum and surrounding beaches.

We found this resort and its proximity to beach, shops etc very easy with two small kids.

Overall we were very impressed with the resort and if visiting Coolum again we would definitely stay. Staff were friendly.

That feeling when you think you’ve booked ocean views and a really cool place based on the website photos.

The reality is we booked on Expedia and our room does have a partial ocean view BUT only from the side balcony! You cannot see any tiny bit of the ocean from inside ANY room in our unit.

There are 39 photos of 2 bedroom units on the website and 38 have ocean views from inside the unit- we are the unlucky 1, I guess.

I phoned reception and she suggested we phone the actual resort instead of booking online. She may be right, but she was less than sympathetic to our disappointment.

Now to calm my hubby down as he tries to cope with the old, bright red leather lounges we have to look at on our beach stay for the next 6 days!!
