Second Stay and did not disappoint once again. Awesome views from the room and the sound of the surf Rolling in was somewhat therapeutic. The beach is easily accessed allowing for morning and evening beach walks. The room was clean and has basic self catering facilities. Rooms are not cleaned during your stay which is manageable for a 4-night visit.

The saving grace for this place is its location just across the road from the beach and a short walk to lots of places to eat and shop. The reception staff were very unhelpful. For example, we asked if they had anything that could help us leave our connecting doors open and we were told they would bring it up to us however we are still waiting.

The pictures are very deceiving on the size of the rooms and the rooms definitely need a lot of TLC there is rust in the bathrooms, walls are quite damaged and in desperate need of paint and very short on kitchen utensils.

We booked into the two bedroom apartment and in neither the description nor the photos does it indicate what the room are really like. For the two bedroom you enter via a main door into a little foyer and then have two separate doors, one of the rooms has a very small kitchenette, fridge, bathroom, and small lounge area and balcony whilst the other room has just a bed and bathroom with coffee making facilities and a balcony. Therefore, to be clear the 2nd bedroom does not connect to the lounge room or kitchen.

So technically if you were booking the two bedroom apartments out you could possibly have two couples and if this was the case I would hate to fit three people on the lounge with one sitting on the chair. The table also only has two chairs and you would have to sit either at the lounge to eat or you could eat on the balcony. The table on the balcony had four chairs however again very small and I wouldn't really like to have four people out there at once as if you wanted to go inside you would have to get people to stand up so you could go around them.

Beds, well both the bedrooms had a queen bed in each however the bedroom I had the bed obviously made two singles as well so was very uncomfortable. Pillows there are four per bed but unless you like the ones that squash down to nothing not very comfortable.

For those of you that are more mature or have issues with knees be very careful if you are booking a room my friend's bathroom had the shower over the bath and it was quite a challenge to get in and out of the shower due to the height of the sides on the bath. My recommendation would be that if you do decide to stay here make sure you insist on a room without the bath over the shower.

We had a partial ocean view and the view was amazing however the balcony was in full sunlight by about 10am and was on it all day making it way too hot to sit out there after this time until about 4pm in the afternoon.

Overall I would recommend you to look elsewhere and would highly doubt unless they did massive renovations that I would ever stay or recommend anyone to ever stay here.

Room tip: Ground floor glass sliding doors and if like ours didn't lock properly so not secure. Rooms not on the side of the driveway.

I've read mixed reviews of this place but in my view given the price we paid for one night it really wasn't bad at all!
Great location near the Coolum surf club, fairly clean and had a small pool which was good for our toddler... parking available and an easy checkin. My one objection is the $200 retainer they take when you check-in. Not sure if this reflects the clientele they are used to but - hey-ho, it is on the booking terms and conditions.

Stayed recently for an overnighter and not sure if I'd go back. The room was as to be expected for the price. Needs an update, bed hard, coffee & tea supply not replenished. All this wasnt an issue til we headed out for dinner.. half the lighting in the corridors were not working, insufficient signage and almost non-existent lighting on outdoor paths. As a result fell down the stairs and ended up with a bruised knee and ripped pants. Informing the reception staff on checking out the next morning was pointless. Genuinely unsympathetic and uninterested!

Body corporate do have regular inspections and maintenance if required in common area's - such as lighting and signage. We have just also recently installed additional signage in the car park and hallways in response to your feedback.

Read reviews beforehand and hoped that the negatives had been rectified as the area was perfect for our stay. Sadly, it was not so! The unit was in very serious need of a clean. Found an unknown shirt under the couch, huge dust under the bedside cabinets and kitchen and mould in the bathroom. Home away from home basics missing- tissues washing powder ,etc. I advised the management of my concerns when leaving so this is not a negative that they are unaware of.
Beach view -thankfully I wasn't there for it .Check it for yourself🙄

what view

It was a very basic unit- no coffee table,no dishwasher, no tissues, TV guide etc. The reception was as previously described- disinterested and condescending.
I love the area and really hoped to stay here frequently.
