This property sits in prime position overlooking the water at Airlie beach. In fact the view from my room is breathtaking. While I feel the place is a little tired my room has every comfort and the decor is reminiscent of a wooden sailing ship.it does take you back to an earlier era.Staff are friendly and helpful and there is a good breakfast provided. We just enjoyed letting the sound of the waves rock us to sleep.

Stayed only one night but ideal setting with nice accomodation. Handy to town and views magnificent. Check in person pleasant and helpful. They explained that there would be $100 refundable charge on credit card to cover anything from min bar etc. no problems with that but five days later still not refunded. This would be my onlynegative with it.

Positive:
- amazing view
- clean rooms
- close to mcdonald’s

Negative:
- very inpolite, the minute you do something ‘wrong’ (climb on the rocks, jump of the pier, exc.) they tell you not to do it but in a very unfriendly way.
- swimming pool freezing cold
- no beach/way to easy acces the sea and have a swim (‘cause it’s warmer there)
- they ask money for every little thing (for example eggs at breakfast)
- they don’t know what activities there’s to do around here
- dinner expensive

The room was great with fantastic view out to the bay. Very nice clean bathroom. A balcony hammock, outdoor jacuzzi - unfortunately a bit on the small side but still a bonus. The staff were very friendly and the restaurant had delicious food and tasty drinks. Very nice swimming pool and green area with vice views out to the ocean. Location was only 5-10 minute stroll from the main town area which was also very nice. Only downside was the wifi was a bit sketchy at times I went there to relax, not spend time on the internet. Overall very happy.

Very simple - closest hotel to the marina where our boat charter was from. Comfortable, convenient and great value. Front desk staff were super friendly - apartment was fantastic. I would stay at Coral Sea again for sure.

Room Tip: 2 bedroom apartment great for our needs
