My partner and I had the fig and prosciutto pizza, and the Brie and potato pizza! Simply delicious! I believe that the true mark of a good woodfired pizza is the quality of the base - the base of these pizzas were light, fluffy and crispy, and simply delicious. Good service and nice wines on offer too.

0/5 simply awful my worst Australian dining experience.

Hard to ruin a pizza in a wood fired pizza oven. But Fig & Olive managed it. The Saltiest plates of food we've ever had the misfortune to attempt to eat. Pizza that was so severely over seasoned it was returned to the kitchen. The Seafood pasta was no better, heavy handed salt with under cooked garlic so pungent it totally destroyed the good quality fresh seafood in the dish. This food was so salty it scorched the roof of your mouth.

Staff are a nice bunch but unfortunately they simply can't cook and going off our experience have never been trained on kitchen basics. Staggering for restaurant charging these prices. $30 for a pizza, its a joke for this poor quality. Maybe we were unlucky and had an off night im really surprised by the other positive reviews on here.

Met friends here for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. They have a small range of tapas, both fish and vegetarian, and we ordered one of each to shate amongst our group. All were delicious. Lovely pitato skins, salmon croquettes, garlic prawns and fritatta. The fritatta wasnt like a spanish omelette, but was still tasty. For mains they have puzzas and a mix of other dishes. Two of our group had pizzas and they were delicious - freshly made with great combos of toppings (3 veggie options). Three of us had the paella which was superb. Baked in a skillet it was moust and sticky with lots of seafoid and chicken. Definitely recommended. One of us also had the chicken and couscous which was good too. Moist chicken, well cooked. Happy to go back anytime.

Small seating capacity, however the menu is interesting and varied. The meals were served at a timely rate. The staff were lovely and very obliging. The inside seating became quite warm after being seated for some time, possibly the close proximity of the oven/cook-tops? However was not uncomfortable for our group.

Wandering in Cowes my friend and I cane across Fig and Olive. We arrived 10 minutes before opening, but were welcomed. We decided on a tapas lunch..5 tapas shared between 2. Servings were generous, so no way could we fit in dessert. The tapas brought back visits to Spain, and prices did also..often overpriced in Australia, but not here. Thoroughly recommended.
